Just returned from a quick trip to AR to get my son from college. 2006 miles in 3 1/2 days. The big tractors were working down there, most the dealers we went by don't have many sitting out front with less than 8 tires on them.
anyone knows what they grow in these fields where they mound up the dirt into sections? some of the fields are flooded, I'm guessing they are growing rice? Saw the crop dusters doing some spraying, they are fun to watch. some of those fields are so large you can't even see the other side.

Surgery is planned for tomorrow.

Surgery on Mother's Day. Sad it happened but glad it was just a broken arm. Hope she mends quickly.

Thanks for the well wishes for my Mom guys. She already fell two other times and broke both wrists. They pin and screw her back together, amazing what they can do actually when looking at the after reconstruction surgery x-rays. Her Life Alert button came in handy today. I will be making the trek to Ohio soon I suppose.

450 miles today graduation dinner and back home. GPS took us a way back to town I'd never been before and we saw parts of Va I had never seen before south side of lake Anna I believe. Bed will be calling soon

warm 72 degrees already in 100% humidity, going up to 78 as the rain system comes through later today, apparently right over this area. System is moving slowly so it could drop a lot of rain. Winds up to 60mph possible. Time to roll down the patio umbrella for sure.
I'm up early, headed out at first light to start putting up more insulation in the wood shop. Good job on a rainy day.

Just poured second cup of coffee. 59° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 71° with chance of rain and thunderstorm. Never made it to my mother place yesterday. Some kind of stomach bug kept me down all day. Today is Mothers Day. Taking wife out to breakfast. Then attending a Brunch at my Mothers Nursing Home.
Dave, sorry to hear about your Mom. Hope she heal soon.
