Almost 1730 and still 77F. Hilo set a new record, hitting 90 today. Brief shower after my morning post then the sun came out and we made 82F about 1220. 82 is our high for the year.

Productive day. Plumbers showed up and installed the new poly line.
My helper showed and we were able to finish and install my PV array for the pool:

Not wired in, but I don't need more hands for that. What you see are 4 sharp 123w and 2 sharp 80w. Current thoughts are to connect the 4 larger panels directly into the pool pump controller. May wire the 2 smaller into something for lighting or something else. The 123s are the first panels I ever bought, back in 2005 as is most of the rack. The 80's were a cheap buy from a friend moving back to the mainland.

All in all, another great day in my version of paradise.

Good Morning. Roy beat me up again, or should I say woke up before me, don't want him to get in trouble with the NFL.

68˚ heading to only 84˚ with clouds 10% chance of rain.

Ron that was a nice 45 minute tractor drive through the green hilly back county roads. I was on cruise control all the way. I went during rush hour in the evening and was only passed by two cars. Today we get-er-done disassembling the fence and moving dead trees.

66 degrees going up to 76 today; should be a nice day and let things dry out.

Huge dumpster on my lawn in front of the main door; hope it doesn't kill the grass, but at this point, it means progress.
They come today to fix the kitchen floor, jack up the foundation and get everything level so the kitchen can be renovated. Need a level floor for sure. Then they start the demolition of the master bathroom tomorrow. That will likely be the local sheriff I met and his helpers.
In this town, everyone who wants to get ahead has a second job. Quite the work ethic, among some....

The cost of mold remediation and insulation for the entire 2500 sf crawl space is going to be about 7k. It means pulling down all the wet insulation down there, which is what is holding the dampness and smell, and then spraying chemicals/fixative over everything, then applying a wrapper of two layers of reinforced plastic over everything. And I mean everything.Then an industrial sized dehumidifier is put down there. It's a big job and the price does not surprise me. Horrible job also, crawling around down there. This little unpleasant development used up all my "unknown disaster" money in my budget. Hope it's the last surprise like that.

I used three cans of red ant killer on over thirty ant mounds. Will be interesting to see how many just move to another location.
When the white chemical was applied to the top of the mounds, the ants went nuts, bursting out of the mound. Clearly they don't like the smell of this stuff. Neither did I; tried to stay upwind.

59 this morning high of 73 and no clouds today. The weekend is shaping up to be really nice before more rain next week two days or more

Indeed and do not have to work this weekend. Been working too many and one day to do my stuff is not enough

Morning all, 54F going to hit around 75F today. Looks like it will be a beautiful weekend amd I don't have to work, at least not at my place of employment. Hopefully I can get some yard work done, maybe some touch up painting and also hope to be able to start on building a new work bench for the garage.
