Good Morning. 0940, partly cloudy, 83F with 66% humidity. Forecast high of 92F this afternoon, and a low of 72F tonight. No plans for the day except grilled pork chops for supper. I cooked a pot of peas {out of the freezer} and got the chops ready to grill yesterday, then we went out to eat. So the peas are already cooked, and the chops are still ready to go on the grill. I did my set-up last night, so I don't have to go to town. I've been thinking about discing up my food plots and planting some peas for the deer. Might do that if the mood hits me right.

Fall is at least a month and a half away for us down here. The dog days of summer are on us. Don't expect slightly cool weather to prevail until mid October. Halloween is often a sweaty affair here.

Taking family to Fiesta Texas. Going to be the hottest "feels like" temps of the year. Not looking forward to being broiled.

Here in NW Florida the last two weeks of August and the first two weeks of September are the hottest of the year. Fall, when it does get here, is such a relief. Holding your hand out the window while driving at night is just pure pleasure.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Larro

67 degrees @ 11:30 AM with mostly sunny skies, headed up to a sweltering 72 degrees for a high.

It was actually chilly enough that I wore a jacket when I headed up to the shed last light after dinner.

Things seem like they are rapidly coming together up there.

I got a snot load of fasteners sorted and put away yesterday, blowing thru another 96 drawer dividers in the process ... so I'll need to order a few more ... unless some magically turn up (I was cleaning in the basement the other day and found a bag full of cleaned drawers for the storage cabinets ... but no dividers)

Most of what is left to sort and put away is washers ... except for the machine screws - and there's a good sized wad of those ... and they're small, so there's a bunch of 'em. I think they are going in a drawer, to be saved for a winter project.

Got the angle all trimmed out for the sawhorse legs and cut some 1/4" plate for the feet. Cut a couple of sections of 2" Schedule 80 and 1/2" plate for tool stands, along with some 3/8" round stock for die holders. Also cut some 1/4" plate to use for a drop-down caster mechanism for the small 2' x 2' welding table. Vacuumed off the scaffold platform and cut a piece of cardboard to fit it to keep it from getting all crudded up, and then reloaded it with cut steel and pieces/parts for current projects. Makes a nice rolling table.

Primed and got a first coat of paint put on the pipe jig bases. Filed tool & equipment manuals in the little rolling cabinet I brought up from the house. Could probably use another one of those cabinets, as the file folder drawer is almost full and I'm still not done filing.

Drilled and tapped the work piece index stop for the bandsaw ... which had an entirely retarded design (set screw was on the bottom, rather than on the side ... which would allow for easy access) Need to make a trip up to McMaster-Carr later to return the wrong hold-down clamp for the angle adjustment for the bandsaw I ordered and pick up the correct one ... it's metric thread (duh) ... not USS ...

For some reason or another, the grass is continuing to grow ... so I guess I'm going to have to remove the loader and put on the MMM ... but not before dropping the bucket up at the shed so the brackets can be cut off and attaching the pallet forks.

Also managed to remember to refill the bird feeders ... out of sunflower seed at the moment ... the cheap seed doesn't to be quite as popular with the locals, except for the dang house sparrows ...

...David(MFW) good luck today

Buppies,

Thank you. It did not go well... I think I only lost a couple hours of visitation, but the judge seems to have ruled I got fired on purpose and on unemployment I cannot possibly meet the financial judgment she handed down.

I am devastated and grasping at straws right now.

Be well all,
David

Good evening all. 69F for the start, partly cloudy, high hit 86F dew point back up to over 70F, humidity is back. Rain in the forecast and on radar. In fact rain is forecast every day through Thursday except Monday. Picking up apples that fell off the tree, bike ride and replace the master bath commode.

David, sorry to hear the results. Prayers sent. Has your lawyer said anything about possible strategies to handle the short term?

Saturday morning up early 58 degrees and looks like another day of clouds and rain!
We made happy hour, out for a nice dinner, and wine afterwards.
Tonight will be a bit of the same I am sure.
It's a tough life style for sure.

52 right now...high of 74 is the prediction.
I mowed about half of the lawn yesterday (after work) then a light rain shower hit. Should be nice enough this afternoon to finish the mowing and trimming.

David (MossflowerWoods), your comment:

suggests discrimination...in fact, possible slander, by that judge. If your lawyer agrees with your assessment, you might want to consider a lawsuit against that judge.

Coffee is brewing. 48° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° with chance of a thunderstorm this evening. Going to head over to Woodward Ave. to enjoy some of the cars that drive by during the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Good Morning All.
