58 right now and foggy outside (just went outside with the dog). High today is supposed to be 82 and 50% chance of a thunderstorm.

62 this morning high of 82 later today and a slight chance of thunderstorms late this afternoon. Some of the trees are starting to show some very early color could it mean an early fall?

Poured first cup of coffee. 63° with heavy rain this morning. Heading to 77° with more rain/thunderstorms throughout the day. Off to pick up some new chipper blades for my Bearcat chipper. $120 for 4 pieces of hardened steel seems expensive. But the originals have lasted about 15 years. Hope the new ones last as long. With the rains, should be a good day to stop at Menard's and Harbor Freight also.

60*F & sunny headed to mid-80's like yesterday. 50% chance of afternoon and evening t-storms--scattered somewhere else hopefully until my field is done. I suppose it will be sticky with not much breeze again today. Digging up stumps and churning the soil brings out the little black flies so a good breeze would be nice.

Buppies, we have a few orange and red leaves on one of our maples, too. It felt like autumn last week - rare to get temps in the 50s this time of year here.

Will pressure wash the west wall today to prep for caulking and painting later this week.

Home Depot - Picked up some paint supplies at Home Depot yesterday, with my wife. Ended up staying almost 3 hours! Most spent looking at carpet - we have 3 rooms to do. Not sure about using HD for carpet, but I must say that in the 3 hours I was exploring the store for a few odds and end, I had several employees enthusiastically greet me, offer to assist and to know answers to my questions. The lady helping with the carpet was wonderful and the paint department got a forklift out to help me get the last 3 cans of the stain I needed last week. I don't know if it is just happening at this store in Ashland, or if HD is hiring and training with customer service as a real goal. I'm sending positive feedback to HD on their opinion website.

I was able to do a little in the garden before going to Panama City today. The heat and dry weather has burned up my young green beans. I have more seeds just sprouting, so maybe those will do better.

Bob, don't talk bad about those folks. They are doing their part to help save Social Security
