Good morning all. 51 here now going to 84 with no rain and low humidity. Biggest job I plan on today is to pull my fathers day present out of the bag. We haven't found the wrapping paper yet. Finished putting the shelving in wife's closet yesterday except I don't have the top shelf. T thought I did but.... hope I don't have to take it all apart to get it in. It's just the wire shelf stuff that you get from lowes so no big deal.

Larro Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it. and watched a few more. 5 pounds of possum was the best.

I an stopping to think how blessed I am to have had a father like my dad. Not a great man as the world see things but if the world had more like him we would be a lot better off. Farmed his whole life, started with mules and then tractors, His biggest was 35 hp. raised beef cattle and open pollinated seed corn. Only had 200 ac of farm land and 500 ac of timber. He was a good father and a good husband and a good christian man. died in 1980, I miss him.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 56° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 89° with mostly sunny skies. Feeling much better now that I am off the high powered pain medication. It's my Birthday and Fathers Day. Nobody's coming over. But the phone will not stop ringing all day. Some NASCAR in afternoon.
HAPPY FATHERS DAY.
Good Morning All.

Yes, Happy Father's day ALL! Ron, hope you are getting better by the day, and Happy Birthday! Hope you get a good Nascar nap. :)

Good morning all and nice to see you have been keeping busy on your extended garden Larro.

We have 2, maybe 3 dry hours for me to go cut down thistles on the steeper parts, then it's all going to get wet again for the next few days. Last time I was on that slope my wheel caught a hole, where badgers had been digging for worms, jolting me sideways and my elbow knocked the gear lever, losing engine braking. It took only a matter of seconds to get the wanabe runaway tractor back under control, but that sort of buttock muscle workout I can do without. This time I intend to keep the left seat arm rest down and go even slower.

No fun working out the sphincter muscle like that. My buddy hit a hidden crevice in an otherwise flat hayfield at cutting speed and broke a cab window out with his head. I always told him he was more hard headed than I.

I've been hearing thunder approaching for almost an hour. It finally started raining. The grass and gardens actually needed some rain. I mowed roughly half the place last week. Now it will grow back.

80 this morning and headed to 92 today.

After yesterday I slept in and I'm feeling it. But do need to get out this morning and mow and weedeat an area for the boy's pictures tomorrow. Get the yard ornament out of the front yard. I just chucked the old WH out the door. Did ask wife how she liked her new decorations and I just got the look. Then to the garden. I'm going to finish planting today. Then meet sister and take dad to eat.

Happy Fathers Day everyone.

75.4F and sunny ... headed up to a high of 88F with higher humidity. Chance of rain and maybe a thunderstorm late Monday/early Tuesday.

Rebaited live trap last night and adjusted the trip mechanism. Previous night the bait was taken but the trap didn't spring. This morning there's another coon waiting out in the trap. So swimming lesson and then bury.

After that over to a TBN friend's house for hotdogs and hamburgers.

Spent most of yesterday pulling big brush pile apart, shaking dirt out, and setting up a bunch of small piles to feed into last night's burn. Low to no winds again last night so got a lot burned. May be able to get rid of the last of it tonight.

Lawn needs mowed again ... might wait until Monday though ... at least for the front, since I have to take off the loader/grapple/rake and put on the MMM to do it.

Thanks for the chuckle. I have an old swingset that I'd like to get rid of, but my boy is only 6, so maybe another year or 2.

Beautiful day!

My dad has been gone since I was 12, that was 1964. I still remember his laugh, the smell of his Old Spice after shave and summer days spent fishing with an old homemade cane pole in the shade on that old pond. We'll be going fishing again one day, dad!

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the 2016 NBA Champions ... the only team in NBA history to ever overcome being down 3 to 1 and come back and win it all.

And they did it at Golden State.

Go Cavs!

Good morning. With several cooler days in a row, the temperature inside has dropped to the point where I had to go find another layer to cover my arms while sitting around. After that and a warm drink the chill has gone, it now feels very pleasant to sit here and watch the rain come down. Dog agrees, sheep can wait a little longer. Everyone gets an abundance of daylight hours today, so no need to feel too guilty at taking our time to enjoy what we have.

Another nice day here, mid sixties going up to high 80's in sunshine.
Going to be a very busy day. Foodshopping this morning for my beach trip tomorrow, and then hooking up the trailer to the truck.
realized I needed gas in the truck and better I do that this morning before I attach the trailer. Never very comfortable pulling a 32 foot trailer into a confined area.
Getting in may be easy, getting out...

Hurt my back picking up the super heavy hitch yesterday; Blue Ox does not skimp on steel. Getting the truck off the equalizing hitch the last time was a problem; hung up inside the hitch and I finally had to pull the truck out with the hitch still on the trailer. Then it was easy to take off...likely I'm not doing something right, but this is like bringing a boat into a strange slip. By the time I'm done I'm soaked in sweat and ready for a cold one.

It would be nice if the site was level enough I could just leave the trailer attached but usually to level the trailer you have to disconnect. This is made more complicated because my truck's air bag suspension keeps trying to level itself during the whole process so sometimes it sure doesn't go as easily as the rv magazines say it can, with all those smiling faces who are sitting in their chairs five minutes after arriving. This is when I miss the motorhome where all I had to do is push a button and the whole thing leveled itself automatically. No cordless drills and four jacks at each corner. But then the motorhome leveling system broke on me so sometimes simple is better.

I use the very simplest bubble level to get things right. Half a bubble, that's the rule. Need to get the air bubble at least half way inside the center ring. And where it creeps out of the center ring of course is the low side, and maybe a few more cranks on the jack. But these jacks have a zillion warnings saying they are not for leveling; only for stabilizing. I doubt that's how most people use them.
The funny part I've found out about leveling the trailer is I definitely need the one side at least level or slightly higher. Why? The toilet seat on my new toilet won't stay up when doing you know what. Ever try to hold the toilet seat up while multitasking?

going to check on my sunflowers today. Hope there are nice long lines of plants and no deer tracks. If deer eat sunflowers I'm sunk.

Going to have to do some lawn mowing this afternoon, at least in front so it doesn't look too awful when I get home on Thursday.
