Here in NW Florida, we eat the gators, not the other way around. If someone tames up a gator at a fishcamp with scraps, he is soon cooked. My section of the river sees a lot of people, so we very rarely see a gator. On to the south, between Clarksville and The Dead Lakes, gators are not as rare. The same with snakes. They both fish for a living, so they are going to live where they have the best chance of finding fish and not a .22 to the back of the head.

You guys be baaad!!

It's not badness as much as stupidity. Like what happens right after someone says, "hold my beer and watch this." And I'm sure there is a mathematical formula that could track the inverse ratio of the number of rednecks per square mile compared to gator lifespan:D

My father in law would be a good example. He spent most days at a friend's house in Pine Island, a community just north of Blountstown. It is real close to the river swamps off the Apalachicola River, and there are several drainage ditches and holding ponds. There was a pond next to his friend's house, and a young gator lived there. My father in law suffered from Parkinson Disease pretty badly at the time. He could only walk at a slow shuffle, but he went out everyday and fed hotdogs to that darn gator. He would clap his hands the gator would come running. All the neighbors were scared he would fall down when he was feeding the gator, so they slipped around and killed him when my father in law wasn't there. He was pretty upset that his 'friend' was gone.

... hmmm, nice box of chocolate Entemann's donuts might go over well with that morning crowd...;)
and then David you can answer your girl's questions about the birds and the bees. Good luck. :D
Miniature golf anyone?

It can only be good David, they're your girls.

Drew,

You crack me up sir. They are my girls so pretty much YES they would love donuts...

I did the Panera Bagel special on Tuesdays and got them some Cinnamon crunch bagels for breakfast, and we'll make sandwiches out of Asiago cheese bagels for lunch... And there will be a couple left over for me later...

The big girls already are past the birds and bees lesson, the baby is still my baby and I'm not ready for that to change...

I'm just happy to have them with me whenever I can. Yes, they are awesome good girls... No sure I can claim credit for that though...

Be well all,
David

Up a bit early this morning...

65 degrees right now and just starting to rain (I was out with the dog about 10 minutes ago). Looks like a high of 79 and rain today.

I'm supposed to have dinner with fellow TBNer Sigarms this afternoon. He and family are visiting Vermont for family business.

70 and only heading up to 84. Looking forward to a perfect night tonight at 57. More caulking today and taping up windows with plastic so I can start re-staining the house with an airless sprayer. The prep work always takes the longest. Many trips up the ladder.

64 degrees this morning high close to 80 but coolest temperatures for tonight. Big rains and storms did not materialize here yesterday but did end up getting pretty wet in last rain that came thru. Last day this week working out of town and today is hump day so all must be good. Friday and Saturday right now look to be dreary and cool in our neck of the woods

Drinking second cup of coffee. 52° with clouds this morning. Heading to 67° with some sun in the afternoon and rain in the late evening. Off to PT this morning. Then back at the motorhome wax job.
Good Morning All.

Job fair went better than expected, I got 4 solid job leads ad I've followed up with all of them, so now I wait to see if anything pans out. The guys from last week who I really just want them to make me any offer and I will take it also had a brief conversation with me yesterday and have reached out to the actual hiring manager, so I'm waiting there also. I wish I were more patient, less stressed out and fearful.

The visit with the lawyer just was what it was, I've still got one more document to produce and he has the rest for making copies etc.

The weather yesterday was amazing. Sunny humid and fine one minute, the next torrential rain. Up in Reston at 2pm or so it was raining so hard as I was driving homewards that the street drainage simply could not handle it and we were splashing and kicking up rooster-tails and could not see... I actually worried about loss of control for about 5-6 minutes...

Today is supposed to be cooler and less humid.

Soon I'll be off to go get my girls for the morning...

Be well all,
David

50*F this morning in BG, Ohio.

Nasty storm passed over our area in Maine yesterday evening. Radar tracked a tornado moving at 50 mph over Industry but I don't think it touched down anywhere according to the news. Some washed out roads seems to be the worst of it. A strong or large tornado in Maine would be very rare fortunately. Sharon is fine and only lost power for a bit. She said the dogs were taking cover for a while. :)

David MFW, hope your job search ends soon.

Have a good one!
