Good Morning & Happy Birthday Wayne! Pig roast -- ummm.

Drew, good luck with your boxes, load up that new truck until it squats.

Mid-50's headed to mid-80's today. 20% chance of rain.

I picked up an Ace bandage for Sharon's ankle yesterday and started stocking up on lubrication and oil change stuff. Still need some UDT hydraulic oil and the correct gearbox oil for the snowblower and bush hog. Today's plan is to change the oil in the generator and tractor, and til the weeds in the garden before they take over.

Have a good one.

69F and .34 inches rain last 24 hours.

Sisterinlaw and guests finally arrived about 2330 last night after a flight delay.
Off to breakfast in town and troop thru the Sat farmers market.

This is going to be a relaxed 2 weeks for me, no major projects, just small kind stuff.

Be safe
Have a great day

because what i really want to know is...

who's going fishing?

Wingsprd for sure; he's going to be on the cover of Fly Fisherman magazine in a couple of years, I do believe.
but who else is taking their kids or grandkids fishing?
so during the summer, if you catch a fish, ring out.

Drew, since my pond is holding water again, I have been wanting to get down to the river to catch some to stock the pond. So far I haven't got around to it. Last week my cousin put a few bream and largemouth bass in the pond, and yesterday he added some catfish. I might just skip the river and go straight to the pond to fish if he keeps it up :D

Happy Birthday Wayne. Hope you have a good one.
Drew, good luck with the packing and such. Good help is hard to find, so keep them busy today.
Dave, I hope your wife's ankle isn't hurt too bad.

Good Afternoon. 1230, sunny, 88F {heat index of 98F} with 66% humidity. Forecast high of 94F with 12% chance of rain this afternoon, {It has rained everyday this week, so I bet it will do it again today}, and a low of 73F tonight.

I'm at work now, but we got out in the garden early and picked a hamper of purple hulls, as well as a few black eyes, some green beans, squash, corn, pepper, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Mamma came over, and her and Margie are spending the day shelling peas. If Margie isn't too wore out, she promised to make salsa tonight. I love me some fresh salsa.

Those of you who are race fans, don't forget it is a Saturday night race this weekend {on TNT, 1930 Eastern Time}. Hope everyone has a good day.

Larro, that list of veggies is making me drool.
now I always thought the Southern way was to pick a passel (sp?) of peas...;) but a hamper must work nicely.

I am so sick of boxes. So when everyone left I took a break, went out and miracle growed the plants outside, snipped a few roses, pulled a few weeds, and generally
felt content with the world. Slow and easy my sister said as she happily fled the humongous mess left. But not until she and my exwife went to work while the men were headed to the storage locker, with redecorating. Off came the decorating objects they felt were "busy" or just too much. And they were right;one thing for sure, going into a larger home now, there will geegaws aplenty.

Dumped a dozen pot loads of potting soil from large flower pots that were on the deck and not being used. All the dirt went into the mulch pile, which I have been working on for fifteen years. Amazing stuff in there...and this "factory" stuff will lighten it up a bit. Might take a couple buckets of it with me. Like starter dough.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, they are all pretty darn good considering I am on the right side of the grass.
Spent a portion of the day going to Harbor Freight and then home and do some grass mowing, seems like that is the story of my life.
Life is pretty darn good and I am extremely lucky that is for sure. 68 today...
