I set my alarm early today...couldn't let Drew beat me up two days in a row!

45 right now and a high of 68 predicted...looks like a beautiful day ahead of us!

With Drew's low branches problem...I had the same problem here. I trimmed those trees for ROPS clearance. As long as the trimming is "balanced", the trees will look good.

60 degrees and heading to the mid 70’s today, much drier will make for easier working outside.
TGIF we need a weekend.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes.
Got the coffee brewing. 54° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 71° with rain showers late in afternoon. Did not get my chores completed yesterday. Going to cut lawn with the Kubota today. No cab or AC. But at 71° who needs it. The roll bar is folded down with no FEL on tractor. Makes it under what few fruit trees I have left. Lost another one this winter.
Good Morning All.

70 degrees going up to 90 in partly cloudy Washington NC.
for shade trees Roy, absolutely, trim the lower branches, which also helps get some light near the trunk at times.
but for fruit trees, no...I can't climb any more and picking for hours with a pole is tedious and bangs up the fruit
and rips up the tree at times. So of course I'd like all my fruit to be low hanging...:D

Low enough to mow under, maybe by creeping under the branches with the out front mower.
And I know a set of gangs in the rear could also trail under those branches. but I don't want to be constantly looking behind me.

Dave is right, but I'm going at least one size taller, I'm too old to plant little stuff...:confused3::dance1:
so I'd like some fruit in two or three years, not twenty.

51*F, clear, headed to mid-60's with a NW breeze at 10-20 mph they say. Similar to Roy's weather. Nice for working outside but it won't do much for the beans and tomatoes. I'm glad we didn't do much garden this year.

Sharon is headed to a weekend dog show in Portland this morning with Sira. Milos and I will be bachelors. I have more trails to go over picking up branches, blow downs, and trimming back saplings that are leaning/growing into the trail. It should be a good day for that.

69 and wet outside after last evenings storms. Today's sun and 85 should dry things out so I can mow again already. Glad to have the rain since it's been over a week, and I planted 4 more food plots earlier this week.

Had a skunk and a raccoon visit our side porch and yard last night. Looks like bringing the feeders in each night hasn't broken their habit yet - they've switched over to drinking out of the low hanging hummingbird feeders - lots of paw print dirt on them, and taken right off the hooks.

Drew, you are in peaches territory. Hope you plant a few of those...and plums, pears and apples do well there. Just got a bag of delicious plums from my FIL and MIL this week when they visited.

Roy, good to see you have taken back command of the early hours.

Good morning, High today of 75F, right now it's 57F. Started installing basebords last night, sure makes a difference as it finishes the room off. Funny how I'm fixing my house up when I'm moving.

Good Morning. 0750, sunny, 73F with 96% humidity. Forecast high of 95F with 30% chance of a thunderstorm, and a low of 70F tonight. My cousin has the child care duty this morning, so I'm going to try to get some mowing done.

Drew, you don't need to limit yourself to one tractor. {I have 3 and I'm always on the lookout for #4} I mow the biggest part of my 6 1/2 acres with the 3930 and 72" RFM, then do the back yard, graveyard, close to the house and trimming around buildings and trees with the B1750 and Woods 48" RFM. Before I got the B1750. I did the trimming with one of the riders.

Everyone have a good day.
