Good morning!!!!

63 degrees in light rain, cooler day in rain, up to high seventies. 1/4 inch of rain so far today. Looks like a wet week ahead too. Reminds me of last Spring; another wet summer? If so, wait, where's Buppies forecast???, more heat and dryness out West again?

A day of running errands in the rain. Am off tomorrow for Greenville NC to look at small farms in the Greenville and Washington NC area of the Inner Banks. three properties, 12-44 acre range, $350K or under, 3000 sq foot modern home (albeit most have plastic bathtubs, etc), under $2K annual taxes all in...
Let's just say these places would all start at over a $1M in my home area. My friends are starting to moan at me for thinking of leaving. Well, the area I live in is too expensive, and frankly too cold in the winter for me any more. 77 inches of snow last winter in Philadelphia.

So this is a big week for me, the start of my new life chapter. Unfortunately it will take me a long time to clean out my own home so I can show it and sell it. It will sell typically in three weeks; the reason why real estate is so expensive here, and living costs..., is because of the outstanding schools. Top tier teachers in all three of the local school systems all make six figure salaries. The schools are enormous and look like small colleges. If I had kids, this is where I would want to raise a family.
But I've never had kids and it's time the users, the parents, supported the school systems and not me...

Next year my health insurance drops 700 bucks a month due to Medicare, and hopefully my real estate taxes drop over $5k a year. All good for retirement.
Hardest part for me is leaving the friends/Friends of my local Quaker Meeting. Been an attender and member since the age of 5. When one has deep roots in a community (1939 for my family), it isn't easy to move, but many of us have done it, and I've certainly moved before. Besides my new diesel dually hogs up too much of my driveway so I know I have to move....:D

you all have a very nice day.
see, I'm learning to get the "you all" back in my vocabulary. Just practicing....;)

60 degrees right now and a 30% chance of rain today.
We are heading to camp tomorrow and have to bring up some furniture so I will be figuring out how to cover it to protect against rain damage.
Just have to wait and see what happens.

Coffee has finished brewing. 54° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 76° with partly cloudy skies. Taking wife to her monthly doctor appointment this morning. Need to get Trak-Vac out and vacuum up the grass clippings.
Drew, Good luck with your farm shopping.
Good Morning All.

70 and cloudy. No dew on the grass for the first time in weeks. Chance of t-storms next few days.

Drew, my wife's folks live between Greenville and Washington - nice area, but not as high above sea level as you might prefer. Enjoy your trip!

I just called to check on my jury duty tomorrow. It has been cancelled. But just because I was called, that means my name will be out of the pool for a couple of years.

I'll find out this Friday, or maybe as late as next Monday if my jury duty will happen. I guess it's not uncommon for last minute plea deals to make a trial unnecessary. The accused was sitting next to his attorney during jury selection. Young guy looking at potentially a long time in prison judging from the charges. He certainly has a lot at stake.

300 - Have fun in Florida and enjoy the time with your parents.

Yesterday we hit the high 80's and it was on the sultry side. 59*F at sunrise with clouds this morning. Mid-80's today with a chance of afternoon t-storms.

A MOST Excellent Plan Drew.

Good morning everyone, 57F here heading to 77F. Finished up painting the last room, now I just need to paint and install the baseboards and I'll be finished.

It is supposedly only 69 outside, and only 74 inside, and I had all the windows open since 3am but Holy Cow it is so sticky in here just washing some dishes and making the bed made me sweat!

Heck with hat, I closed the windows and bumped the AC down until it kicked in...

Looks like a nice day otherwise today.

I've almost got the Flex ready to sell, not gonna make anything on it, I need to just be happy to get rid of the payments it seems...

Had a pretty good weekend with my daughters, in two weeks we lave for a Vacation week in the Poconos. My wife is trying to restrict my visitation time again, I'm trying to leave that the grossly over paid blood suckers (aka lawyers). Still looking for work, seems to be some interest but everything moves v e r y s l o w l y . . .
Sigh...
Be well all & God Bless your week.

Good Morning. 0830, scattered clouds, 82F with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 93F this afternoon, and a low of 71F tonight.

I just wrapped up my weight training and now the garden awaits. The last two days and nights of storms have laid some of my younger tomatoes over, so I need to drive stakes and sew them up with the Florida Weave. I need to spray again as well. At least I don't have to water:eek:

Drew, land prices around here are even cheaper. If what you are looking for is floods, droughts, heat, humidity, skeeters, gators, etc. etc... The only drawback, the closest Friends meeting is in Tallahassee. I would hate to think about having to go to town once a week. But then I get aggravated if there are more than one or two cars come by the house when I'm in the garden. During the summer when everyone is heading to the river, it is not uncommon to have two trucks at the crossroads at the same time. That is what we call a traffic jam.
