Best bar name EVER was the "Elbow Bender" in Battle Creek, it has been gone for ages. And yes, Irv is right about Grand River...it begins in Detroit and goes a lot further than most people would imagine.

Got a bit more mowing in, some with the Scag, some with tractor and flail. All in between the very light showers. I sure don't like the Scag ztr on wet slopes

Got the exhaust fixed on the car but didn't get any painting done. Did finally get around to get some gas mixed for the weed wacker and it fired right up. Also when house hunting and put a bit in on a house closer to work, we'll have to wait and see if it got excepted.

Didn't get much of anything done today. Did go out for brunch, and shopping at costco. Really impressed with the staff at Costco, much friendlier and helpful that Walmart or Kroger. Skeeters were bad, but I sat down on the couch and just dozed off for a couple of hours. I guess I gotta hit it harder tommorrow!

Larro, No thanks to brush cutting with a hand saw. I have walked a boundary or trail with a set of heavy loppers clearing branches that stick out, but if there is much to cut, I use power tools.
I tried out the new Husky 440 e-series saw this afternoon. Starts easy, runs strong. The only issue I had was the chain cuts grabby like one will if the rakers have been taken down too far. I imagine that will go away on its own. So far, no complaints. Hopefully, it will be a nice light duty saw that is easy to use and low weight.

42 degrees right now...quite pleasant and I just came in from about 10 minutes out with the dog. Looks like a very clear dry day today...most pleasant!
I do have to contact a garage door repair company...cables broke on one of the doors. I was in the garage and it sounded like a .22 rifle. One of the pulleys flew quite a ways and I'm glad I wasn't in the "line of fire"!
Reckon I'll be starting to stack my first cord of green wood. 2nd cord comes next weekend.
I'll be checking out a used Stihl FS-250 brush cutter tomorrow after work (unless it's sold today).

50 and clear, the sun just popped up. Fed the birds and the pup and enjoying some strong black java. Should see 83 today.

Poured second cup of coffee. 66° with lots of clouds this morning. Heading to 81° with thunderstorms after lunch. Got some of my projects done yesterday. But ran out of steam early. Gave me plenty of time to watch car racing on TV. Hope to get a few things done before storms hit this afternoon.
