45 right now and a high of 54 today....pretty cool for late May.
We had a couple heavy downpours yesterday. Even had a tornado warning and hail in Rutland (about 35 miles southwest).

David/Sodamo, your power system is a wonder and we are all learning from it. When my house gen kicks on after about fifteen seconds of lost power, of course everything is blinking. But when it reverts back to street power, the switchover is in milliseconds and hardly anything even flickers. Doesn't yours switch in milliseconds too?
Your AC power never goes off, unless something fails. or someone gets overeager with a back hoe...: so I'd think you have less clocks to reset than the rest of us.

Good morning all, 63 here and overcast and windy...yesterday it got as high as 89 at one time.

Irv...thank you for sharing the wonderful news about your wife, always great to learn when a serious health issue may be resolved.

Having been helping the GF's daughter move, plus there was a memorial service for her father yesterday and a lunch get together, plus one of her sisters is staying here for a while.

Think I will give up on the idea of having a garden this year...still have not even started on that yet.

Have to try to fix the Deere fuel gage today plus a bunch of other stuff...have a great week, everyone.

65 with a thin layer of fog over the fields earlier while I was out feeding the birds. Raccoons are back taking three of the feeders down each night, so I it is back to bringing them in each night until we break that habit. And guess what is my puppy's favorite thing to find in the yard (that the raccoons leave behind)?

David, it has been fascinating reading about all of your improvements, but the power system is tops.

Well, we got only a few drops from the edge of the t-storms yesterday, and are now really needing rain for the first time this year, so maybe today's 50% chance will be our turn.

Coffee is brewing. 63° with overcast skies this morning. Heading to 74° with rain this morning and sun in afternoon. Got pounded with rain late yesterday afternoon. All looks good though. Need to cut lawn when grass drys a little.

44*F with drizzle rain currently. Headed to 60 today--so they say, with a low around 40 tonight. I saw a couple of houses with smoke coming out of their chimneys yesterday.

Some years summer makes a very brief appearance in Maine. I wonder if this is going to be one of those years? It's not good weather for grouse and turkeys chicks.

47 degrees right now and they think we might hit 51.
Yesterday we drove back from New York and at the top of Killington, VT it was 78 degrees, when we hit New Hampshire it was 53 degrees
We drove through Rutland and I guess we did it early enough not to be there during the bad weather moving in.
Grass is nearly have a foot high here, but cannot mow until things dry out.

Good morning, 63F when I woke up, predicted high of 75F. Bought a keyless entry lock for my mother for her birthday and installed it last night. Got her codes all setup for her and showed her how it works. As I was leaving she was telling me how she was going to get more keys made for the new lock. I guess it's true that you cannot teach an old dog new trick.:confused3:
