sirloin burgers? is that all you could find JD?
You know when they have that label "packing and canning" on the package of sirloin, it might be a tad chewy.
Me, I think an ostrich leg will do for this evening now that I'm home.
Just have to find one.
Now there's something i bet Larro doesn't have a recipe for....
in the meantime, two burgers coming up on the bbq.

nice to come home to flowers and the ants are on the peonies.
and I mowed the lawn for the first time, boy it needed it. Lawn service must cut the thing at 6 inches.
But with a lot of rain coming, glad I got it mowed a little shorter.

Drew, I don't have a big fowl recipe, but I do have a story. About 20 years ago our neighbor was going to get rich quick raising Emu. She was good at raising them, but not as good at finding sales for them. As she hatched off more and more, her feed bill was going through the roof. She called Daddy one day and ask if he would come up there and help her for a few minutes. When he got there, she had shot about 10 Emu, and was trying to dress them. Needless to say, it took a little longer than a few minutes, but they got them all dressed. I did eat some of it. I think Mamma cooked it in the pressure cooker for a while, then baked it. Not bad meat, and there is lots of it.

Grilled turkey burger wrap, stir fry, corn, grilled sweet potato, peas, Larro's summer salad, onion and tomato. It turned out pretty good.

48 degrees and heading up into the mid 70’s
off to Mass for an installation and then home for the rest of the week.
Have to get some seeds in the ground this week as we will head north next week to open our camp.
Life is good during these golden years.

63 this morning high of 85 but rain in the future and lots of it, engineers holiday

64 shooting for 88. We only had a 20% chance for rain yesterday, and got 1.63 inches in less than two hours last night. Today's chances are 40%, so hope the rain amount doesn't double.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 53° with light rain this morning. Heading to 62° with a good chance of rain all day. Got the lawn cut yesterday. Today looks like a inside project day.
