Good morning, seems like most of us are doing something sensible on a Saturday morning like sleeping in.
need my second cup of coffee, the availability of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice at my sister's dinner party and a bunch of high end
vodka bottles made me switch from my one glass of wine to several of the juicy style. And no, I refused to put Grey Goose in fruit juice, I hunted around for
something cheaper in the big bottle. And no upset stomach this morning. As much as I love wine, it doesn't seem to like me much anymore.
I did have to be careful driving home though I was no where past .03 or .04. Just a nice buzz. The problem is that it's so easy to want more of that buzz.
And more...
Lot of alcohol at holidays, can bring out the best and worst in folk.

Grapefruit juice and vodka! Brassy Blondes are fun! I enjoy them most of the winter, and part of the rest of the year!

perhaps the grapefruit juice is the reason. I'm sure it wasn't the vodka...
This is all the result of ordering lots of Florida citrus this year as gifts and even extra for party consumption.
Fresh squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice.
I should have asked for rum instead of vodka. It adds a nice complimentary flavor.
And makes one think of warm beaches....

30 this morning high in 50s later this afternoon then rain tonight thru tomorrow up to two inches possible clearing for Monday. Got to eat another great meal last night cooked in her Christmas present. Wiring of under counter lights and tile backsplash is all that's left to do. This project kind of drained me so nothing new for a while unless it's already paid for. Good morning

20*F, cloudy and calm. Should hit the mid-30's this afternoon.
Yesterday I broke up the ice that had collected on the roof edge from the freezing drizzle-rain. The roof is a mess. Thin coating of ice on the metal, then snow, then a layer of ice, then snow, and finally another layer of ice. Our weather history. :laughing: Of course, the roof rake won't cut into the top layer of ice. The total weight isn't too bad yet.
Have a good one.

25F little over cast sun trying to peek thru..quite before the storm,looks like bag nasty weather..rain,sleet,3 plus inch snow,than again on border line of all snow.
Dump run,cut some scraper starter wood,take mrs. to food store,stop and beg for another Kubota sweatshirt at dealer<---Mrs. has retire sweatshirt...yeah it was pretty bad shape.
Guess I better shag my @ss if I plan getting this all done before dark.

I prefer Texas citrus, and I find most oranges to be too sweet. I find some of the "ruby red" grapefruit to be too sweet as well. (I guess I am blessed to not have a big sweet tooth!) Plain grapefruit, squeezed fresh, and Texas vodka make a great "pick me up", or garnish with a cherry, make it stronger, and it is a wonderful bedtime tonic! :cloud9:
