good morning all. Not as cold as in NH, but it feels like it, 19 degrees out.
CNN's headline this morning:
THIS IS NOT TEXAS WEATHER!
that just about sums things up...
am sipping on a cup of coffee, illegally, have to go to the primary doc this morning and get annual
blood work, so I'm supposed to be fasting. Well, that means no sausage egg mcmuffin right?...
I was SO happy when I opened the drain valve on my RV's hot water tank yesterday, about 28 degrees outside, and a whole lot of very cold water came gushing out. Yes, no ice. I had wanted to take the RV down to my brother's place in Delaplane VA for Thanksgiving, but the weather forecast is miserable, not going to drive in bad weather in that thing, way too exciting for me. I could take the Suburban, utterly nothing stops that except stopped traffic, which is always the problem.
But I think I will take the VW Golf and see how it does on the highway. With new tires and fwd, I'll do fine. And I've been driving it for three days and finally the fuel gauge got off Full. By a hair. Really remarkable, the difference between 11mpg and 45....ya think?
Spent almost six hours cleaning the house yesterday, groan, but boy does it look better. Now if I can get all these bags of clothes out of here, I might start thinking about some Xmas decorations. My wife was into decorating for sure, we have one wall of the basement almost filled with Christmas stuff in boxes and boxes. Need to go through all that too. I think I may have a tree trimming party and send everyone home with plenty of extras...
Going to call the hospice place down the road and see if they can use all the leftover medical supplies. I already gave back all the oxicontin and other narcotics, didn't want them around the house. The street value of that stuff must be amazing, but not my way of making money... And I have about four hundred syringes, I think the type you flush lines with. Glue applicators?

I'm going to keep a good supply of usable stuff, like the 4x4 bandages, but I sure don't need ostomy supplies. But I bet someone does so I want to recycle this stuff, if I can. Sometimes you can't.
I bet Ron is wishing he left a week earlier...
A very good Monday and week to you all.
