67 this morning high of 86 today with slight chance of showers, not to bad for late August weather. Storms came thru last night got another inch last night pretty heavy in fact. We now have over 41 inches for the year almost our yearly average. Some of the long range forecasters think winter for the east will be cold and wet, El Niño is supposed to make an appearance but in a weakened state further enhancing cold temperatures and snowy weather for the Mid Atlantic and East Coast. Working out of town again

Drinking ice coffee this morning. 70ｰ with some clears skies and moments of rain. 
Heading to 83ｰ with possiblity of thunderstorms throughout the day. Install in a new clothes drying rack for wife.

I don't know where Daugen is staying...but in southern Lancaster County, PA, there is the Strasburg Railroad (Strasburg Rail Road - Lancaster County, Pennsylvania). There is also a motel nearby (within 5 miles) that is comprised of nothing but cabooses for their room. The Strasburg RR is an outstanding place to visit, if you're in the area...and they also have a great museum of rolling stock.

good morning all, quiet night, lots of rain, made a wonderful drumming noise on the roof of the rv.
lazy day today, working on a new Hiassen novel, Chomp, which is reasonably funny.
now for the continuing saga of tv coverage. On the eight call, Nadene got through to someone at Direct TV that actually knew what a motorhome was. In fact they have an office in Oklahoma with thirty people in it that does nothing but motorhomes. Clearly the company operators sure need some training.
So finally she gets through, we give the id numbers off our receivers,and nothing. No signal. How unusual.... Seems the trees are blocking our view South, where all the satellites are, and we could not get a fix. So we'll wait until we get home. At least the Today Show came on the back tv, we get three channels and one of them gets the job done. Fine with me.
Am thinking about all the tomatoes on the vine at home. Saturday will be a big picking day.

Roy, thanks for the tip. Never been to the Lancaster Cnty area. Looks like a good place to visit. Trains still look odd to me without a caboose.

Good morning! Wow slept in, missed my opportunity of working outside in the cool. A passing cloud teased me yesterday and sprinkled us with .02" of moisture. (Not enough to call rain.)
Bright sunny day, 78˚ later in the high 90s˚ but a chance of an afternoon passing cloud misting on us for the next 3 days.
Drew, that picture of the gazebo with the fireplace sparked a project nerve. I like the dancing fire in the fireplace, and could use it every night that it gets very cold (below 60˚).

we had a serious storm go through last night steady thunder and lightning it looks to be a round .50 of rain.we needed the moisture bad.its 63 now with some clouds hitting 80 later,the humidity is gone now.
