Had a pretty good wind storm last night, one of the strongest in the 14 years we have been here. Power went out for a few hours last night, about 8:30, not sure when it cam back on as I went to bed :laughing: Had a look around this morning and no sign of damage or trees down which kind of surprised me. After some more rain today it is supposed to shower later today. At least it is about freezing.

we got a nice rain last nite an this morning.got 3 inches of rain so far.it sure is nice to see water standing in the pasture.

I am so glad that you are finally getting some much needed rainfall. Hopefully, the water table will get back to normal. You guys in that region have suffered enough.

23F,cloudy and quite before the storm,which arrives late this evening...1-3 inches turning to sleet/freezing rain than rain arrrrr,than we continue on w/ January thaw.

29 degrees F and clear. Partly cloudy today and temps up to high thirties. Very little snow on the ground some coming tonight but changing over to rain Friday morning.

Another night of fitful sleep. Sigh. Maybe I can catnap before I "punch-in".

Today's high - 54F. NWS just issued a dense fog advisory. Luckily for me that I work from home!! Don't have to worry about the morning commute...well once I almost tripped going down the stairs to my office - could have been a bad wreck!

I'm seeing around 28 now, but as Thomas pointed out.... more rain/sleet/snow...etc. on the way. Yuck. Swapped the blower for the FEL yesterday afternoon and scraped some of the remaining ice off the driveway (from 3 weeks ago)-- just in time for some more, it seems.

David, I'm jealous! I haven't had anything out this month, and it looks like I'm going to miss January altogether. Did see the the guy who commutes to work (next to "my" middle school) on his dirt bike yesterday... as I was picking up some MORE sand. He dresses well, and I don't think he's missed a day with it yet!:thumbsup:

First cup of coffee is gone. 55 degrees this morning. Heading to 78 with sun and breeze. Still no measurable rain. Going to start waxing the motorhome today.
