It was 38° here this morning but, 10-12 mph north wind, the "feels like" is 33°. Forecast is for 55° high and sunny most of the day.

My first HF Lynxx 40 Volt chain saw had an oil leak that only leaked if I put it on the shelf for a few days. When using it, I found no oil on the bed of the Polaris Ranger? It was close to 90 days since I bought it so took it back to HF for an exchange Friday. Took it into the store, with my receipt, and the lady clerk couldn't have been nicer. I had left the battery and charger in the truck and just brought the bare saw into the store. After paper work was complete, I told her I would go get the battery and charger and put them into the basket with the leaky saw. She told me don't worry ...... just keep them. The extra battery will be handy. I've now got the Lynxx 40 chain saw, pole saw and blower plus 4 batteries and three chargers.

Plan for today ..... is to assemble the chain saw, and get some more tree trimming done. I use the 40V pole saw more than the chain saw but, both are great tools and I'm only lugging around my Echo chain saw and Echo pole saw for big stuff and high stuff. My back appreciates it as well.

RNG, I use my grapple for my sawbuck. I pick up entire logs, to a comfortable cutting height and cut rounds from both ends. Then I drop log and re-pick it up on one end between grapple and lid and cut a couple more rounds. Usually have one more cut, of the final piece, after I drop it on top of the already cut rounds.

Hmm, my never used Lynxx has leaked out all the chain oil that I put in it thinking that would make it ready if needed. Does the replacement chainsaw leak?

Don't know yet Ron. I'll assemble it this afternoon, fill it with chain oil, and let you know. My Lynxx 40V pole saw hasn't leaked a drop.

I was going to dis-assemble my original chain saw ..... to find the leak but .... was close to the 90 days "no questions asked" returns / exchanges and had to go to Houston Friday anyway.

".... Hope to watch the Patriots win today"- David. They have been really inconsistent this year. We'll see which team shows up today. The game will be on, but with the warmth of the wood stove, comfort of my easy chair, and announcer drone I'll probably sleep through the game (as usual).

As for the tractor key....one of the issues that keep me away from clubbing and grouping invariably they are taken over by do nothings that know everything. There are doers and then there are talk about it do nothings that not only have to dominate a conversation but control everything with safety or pure bs, just to control.

Harvey, I have no problem getting access to the key, and no one is denying me access to the tractor I just feel strange about jumping on it and going without talking to someone knowledgeable about the origins and history. Finding that person has been a challenge. I have not run into a know-it-all person yet they are all very receptive to anything I have to offer. If I mention that something is needed I'm encouraged to make it happen. This is a very active adult community and very easy to live in. With your skills and knowledge you could be the respected Know-it-all go to person. You are the guy that makes it happen, I'm just a wonderer.

I'll try to get some pics of the stuck door in a few days. the top rail is only slightly bent maybe a 1/2" outward, which should not bind, but when the front of the door goes out the back of the door might be going in and scraping against the frame making it stick, I'll check it out.

Right now the trailblazers are texting help is needed on the trail and I need to try the new tool in my previous post on picking up the mulch. Trail blazers does not have a FEL only a Mule.

We used one like that to pitch peanut hay as it was called, it was the whole plant including peanuts dried, then baled.

Found some vintage 10 tine pitch forks on eBay. Looks like they were used for potatos
or
manure

Now I’m thinking back of all the potatoes grandma made and hope they cleaned the pitchfork in between uses.

Wow, up to 38 with some rain, but very bright out. We dodged it with only 2-3 inches of snow and ice.
