It was 55 degrees here at 7 pm. Now it’s 57 degrees at 9 p.m. and fog rolled in about 8 p.m. can’t even see the outside security lights down at shop or over at horse barn.

Prayers for all suffering the flu, especially the little ones.

Randy- I understand the process. What is criminal is that nobody from BC/BS came to your aid during your devastating/catastrophic loss to help you understand your loss of coverage and help you make choices about coverage options if any. Who can think straight under these conditions. This is morally wrong. I am relieved to read as of February 1st you have coverage again. You should never have lost your coverage in the first place. What happened to you happens to a lot of others too. This is wrong.

Don- You'll beat that trunk. I'd bet on you if I gambled. It's a matter of time ...... and force.... and a really big hole

Einthewoods- I wish you safe and germ free travels. Airports are amazing cauldrons of pathogens. Keep clean; stay safe; don't pick your nose.

LOL. I saw my wife putting something in my carry on and asked her what she was up to (you never know when your wife might want you jacked up by the TSA). She put a ziploc bag in with disinfectant wipes saying I need them for wiping down airplane tray tables and rental care surfaces. Da*n I love that woman!

Before I retired I was making 1-2 round trips to SE Asia per month. I did my best to reduce that during flu season but, ... business came first. Luckily, I flew business and first class only.

Since I retired to the Ranch, I’ve not had so much as a cold.

I didn稚 realize I wasn稚 getting the insurance as her survivor, with continuing premium payments by me. The way the state works you can get larger initial benefits by declining survivor benefits. Since she had signed up for continuing benefits from her time as medical supervisor of Tyson Foods eastern region, and Campbell痴 soup Mid Atlantic before that, but neither involved insurance as she separated from both when they closed the local offices rather than relocating. It was an oversight, and didn稚 cost me greatly as it could have, but they should have made it clear by confirming that I understood. I couldn稚 think straight for weeks about then.

My late brother made several trips a year to Germany, Italy and the UK. When India, China and Korea started using the same machinery, they wanted him to start going there, he retired.

Have you tried turning your tractor around, extending your hoe, chaining to the hoe, lift and pull with your hydraulics, reposition and repeat.
The power of hydraulics is amazing.

41 currently and that’s the high for today. Sleet is falling and melting on contact. Supposed to be rain.

Don nice work. Guess you know how to lock yourself up with a backhoe so that you don’t pull the tractor around. Lock up and attach chain to hoe and pull. I’ve been waiting for that stump to sit back up on you if you keep cutting the trunk off it.

Kyle. When I had the flu. Doctor told me type A was mostly cough and sore throat but that’s the one everybody was getting pneumonia from. Type B had all the vomiting and stomach symptoms. Hope she gets better.

Busy week coming up. Monday me to dentist. Tuesday youngest son gets ear tubes at 18 months. Wednesday wife gets 2 teeth cut out at oral surgeon. I don’t need anything for Thursday or Friday so don’t even try to schedule me.

Did just get home from a nice dinner with the wife. Left kids with dad. So that was relaxing. Japanese steakhouse that is always good. Then to rural king and wallyworld.

Drew. Congrats on the sale. Guess my tractor pictures just weren’t good enough. I see.

Good morning all, 34 is the temp and the called for high, 100% chance of everything but sunny weather. No plans today, will see.

Don, glad things are going well with the stump.

Kyle, Prayers for you and your family.

Prayers for everyone else. Ed

Rain is over and hopefully starting to soak away soon. Mud is to be expected in winter, this year it seems to be in abundance, oozing out of the grass wherever the sheep care to wander. Some fields remind me of the opening to the Beverly Hillbillies, except the stuff bubbling up through the ground isn't worth much and more brown coloured than black (not that I could have told the difference in the 60's - our tv only showed monochrome) .

Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed
Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was shooting for some food,
And up through the ground come a bubbling crude
(Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea)

Kyle, sounds like your little one is going to feel poorly for a while. Hope you find ways to cheer her up while she recovers.

Einthewoods - "playing" with the tractor ? Bet it's that smile on your face that's giving the game away. Try sucking a slice of lemon before reaching for the tractor keys . It takes a lot of hard practice to keep a serious face when the tractor is calling you. Also helps to have phrases ready like " I just enjoy my work". Don likes to work too.
