Another great morning, no rain in site. Checked garden last night and all the plants look like they are dying. Hopefully the can make a full recovery once the water dries up.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 56° with clear sunny sky this morning. Heading to 80° with lots of sun today. All my running around went well yesterday. Today I am going to put tiller on tractor and finish filling in behind retaining wall.

55 right now and 79 is the predicted high. No rain yesterday and no rain predicted for today...not as humid either.

Did get the universal in the reverser linkage. I ended up calling the local dealer and they sent a guy out. It was a two man job, actually. Today I'll put the panels back on and finish up the field mowing...then swap over to the finish mower for the lawn.

Well, my daughter and grandson is home from the hospital. Her delivery was SUPER easy, with just an overnight stay!

Just had to share this picture. This was shortly after they got settled in at home this evening. Eli checking out his new baby brother..

Hey Dean, do you have any red-headed boys in your family? That's a cute picture of that new grandbaby and grandson. If I were a betting man, I'd bet there are lots more cute pictures like that one in your future photo album.

The weather is hot and humid here. I'm testing my water well daily to keep my lawn and garden alive. I cut 3/4 of my yard yesterday with the mower set at its highest setting. It's so hot that one of my cats was laying in the wet grass in the shade to keep cool. Normally they look for cool dry shady areas, but he didn't mind that the grass was wet at all.

75 degrees now and forecast to go to 101. Officially, the NWS says the Denton airport 10 miles from here got a half inch of rain yesterday afternoon, but my rain gauge has nothing but dust in it.

good morning I knew it was to good to be true, I checked the weather yesterday and 0 % chance of rain today checked this morning 50% chance today. do they really have a clue what the weather is doing outside of a couple hours notice? Depman great picture with the 2 of them you will not be bored any longer. Clear 72 with 99% humidity, 70% chance of rain. Hoping the rain will hold off, but looking at the radar, there is a line of green from PCB right up into Ga. It's to the south of us. For now.

Been up and going a little over an hour, just slowed down enough for the first cup of coffee. Trying to straighten up a little. We are closest house to the graveyard. Sure there will be family gathering here before and after the service.

Good morning, I spooked 3 young bucks and a doe putting out the water sprinkler in my front yard. They were about 100 yards from my front door resting under some post oak trees. The bucks have velvet horns about 7"-8" long already. Our pond still has good water in it and I have discovered that when we get into this level of drought, more deer start hanging out here.

Still in SF and yes it is fogged in. We were down watching an America's cup race yesterday, fun time, lots of walking and many hills. We will head for home this afternoon.
It's time to get back to real work living, cheaper too!

Our pond still has good water in it and I have discovered that when we get into this level of drought, more deer start hanging out here.

My ponds still have good water too, but the does prefer my wife's birdbaths for drinking. After all, the birdbath gets fresh water every day and it's close to the rose bushes for a little snack.

Predicted high 87, so far 69, 2" of rain since sun up. We have a circulation around us that looks like a tropical storm, weirdest July weather I've seen. So far since June 1, nearly 19" of rain!

Here is what is headed at us shortly. Wish we could turn this around and send it out
to TxDon. That whole field of his prickly pear might get up and dance. This I'd like to see...:dance1:

* a slow moving frontal boundary has already brought moderate to
heavy rainfall to much of southern and central Delaware and
adjacent areas of northeastern Maryland this morning. The area
of moderate to heavy rain is expected to expand slowly
northward through the day.

* Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the watch
area with the potential for locally higher amounts. The
heaviest of the rain may fall in a relatively short amount of

now Jim it would be even nicer if you could put out some grain and corn for the deer in their own monogrammed bowls.
And perhaps a nice rubbing tree to scrape to bits...

In our back yard are at least a dozen birdhouses, half a dozen feeders, water bowls, etc.
They are so tame now that when I go out to fill the feeders, one or two brave souls stick it out to the very end when I come to
fill their feeder. Likely their chattering is to tell me to hurry up and get on with it.

I swear this is true (no sea story). When our feeder gets low, the birds start flying into our windows on the house to remind us to fill the feeder. They don't fly up and bang into the window, just flutter their wings against the glass.:confused2: The deer get fed twice a day from a deer feeder. The deer know the schedule and stand in the shade at the edge of woods waiting for the feeder to go off. They have us trained really well.

No rain today but three inches more last night, busy weekend coming up long work week dodging rain back working out of town ready for vacation oops just got off have to wait till next year. Had to buy new piece of equipment this week and this was a major purchase hopefully business picks up soon. On the weather front rain for tomorrow and Sunday then hot and humid for next week highs in 90s summer is here and only scattered thunderstorms. Good evening
