thank's farmgirl that was my fireworks show for the evening. it has been a total wash out here, had to put rain coat and hood on to just get our burgers and hotdogs done on the grill still pouring down. everyone have a great evening.

Got the coffee brewing. 67° with light rain. Heading to 80° with possibility of thunderstorms throughout the day. Got the retaining wall back up. Now I need to fill in the area behind wall. Need to remove about 10 yards of soil from a hill in back of property.
txdon, driving to your place makes me appreciate my 1/4 mile of chlorided road. You need to explain how rough that section of so called black top was.
But it did not have any dust.

Mornin all,
I had issues sleeping. Got abig meeting this moning with the wife, Pastor is acting as ref. I'm going to make a few "long term" proposals to try to stay married. If those fail, I'm going to pitch mediation and not lawyers.
I fear she has a lawyer already... I fear this is not likely to go "my" way... Pray hard.
Yesterday was awesome, I got a bonus playdate from 9am until 3pm with my youngest daughter. Then I went to a burger burn at a buddies, and then we all sat in an empty gravel lot an watched fireworks from too far away. I also got my first minor sunburn of the season.
I think I'm going to a Fellow TBNr's house tonight to work in the garage/shop as his Igor as he works on building an airplane...

Sam sorry about all the rain been clear warm and breezy here. Got sons apartment packed up yesterday have pod coming next weekend so another trip next Friday evening. Supposed to be beautiful here today and tomorrow awesome fireworks last night. Rained some more at home thunderstorms today but more scattered in nature, but see you are still under the gun. Off today, so we slept in...in fact, I'm on vacation all week! It's a use it or lose it situation...I'm pretty dedicated to the job, but I don't give up vacation time!
Today's weather: 68 right now with a high of 88 predicted. 30% probability of rain...maybe I can do some mowing today, once it dries up a bit.

After 13" of rain in June we finally got break, but the heat and humidity moved right in, must be July! Had some friends and family over yesterday, warmed some tuna steaks, burnt some cow parts, scorched some dogs and had a great time!

good morning gotta mow today if it don't rain that is a mighty big if. I am running out of inside projects to work on or at least the ones I can afford. Going past 90 today, no rain yesterday. Finished my "koi"less pond. Think that was over two years in the making. Waiting for more drying now.. have a building to move onto a new foundation, electric hookups, fence installations and major reseeding to do.
Two more days without rain and I am good to go.

Good Morning! It's Texas, it's July, just hot and dry. From now on it's just how hot and how dry. Today it is "very", a tad away from "extreme".
Today I figure out how to get rid the rotten egg smell from cabin#2's seldom used electric hot water heater. I know it will have to do something with hydrogen peroxide and replacing the anode. Anybody else have this problem and fixed it?

We took the remainder of the anode rod out and also plumbed in a whole-house water filter with a charcoal element designed to remove the rust and the smell. Works great, zero smell.

well the rain stopped and the wind blowed and I got the mowing done, one hour later it rained got flash flood watch thru sunday morning. I gonna eat take shower and go to bed all in that order. everyone have a good night.

But nothing like out West. going to stay inside today, maybe powerwash the back deck. Something with water to stay cool...
Rain and storms due in tomorrow, so today is going to be a good day to dry out after what seems like weeks of rain.
picked tomatoes, blueberries, cucumbers and a hot pepper yesterday. We can't figure out how, but almost all our peppers are hot peppers, and neither of us can eat them. ?? I know we had "regular" peppers in there, but we'll be giving away a lot of hot peppers pretty soon.
Several of our neighbors have packed up their families and headed to the NJ shore. Less than two hours away.
So it seems quiet in the burb.
