This is the before pic for remote camping site pad 13. Next week the after pic.
Temp stayed below 90˚F during our park camping site preparations.
It's clouding up. Austin is filling up with evacuees. Hope at least to get some rain.
(edit: these pads are for the tents, not for vehicles, there are no roads to the pads. The pads are between 50' to 600' around the parking area. The parking area has restrooms but no showers. The RV sites have restrooms and showers and hookups, and they are about a mile down the road.)

Randy your power outage sounds like the one I had that RNG figured out that I needed a UPS. (I had to google ups power) It should be here tomorrow.

Thomas, Boo may learn to like your music and bring friends.
There smaller bear that does visit 2-3 times week always has his/her guard for Boo.

Coco is still in bad condition, but we are starting two new meds today.
We are still pulling hard with thoughts/prayers for Coco.

I’m guessing there are a few pampered pets on GM.

Lunch over.
Roof ready for panels.
If all goes well, I get to quit early

nice dog pictures guys, some well loved pets here

long day at hospital, in at 6:45am out by 5:30pm and I'm whupped.
But a good day...PET scan came back fine, no spread and further shrinkage of core area, oncologist was pleased.
Bit of a sinus headache from one of the drugs, told that was normal and my tinnitus has amped up again, but all manageable.

interesting email from close friend's brother who is senior trainer for B-52's at Barksdale air force base in Louisiana. First they were going to sit it out,
now they made decisions to move all the B-52's to a safer location. Apparently they don't like the looks of what is headed their way and those planes, despite
being ancient, are very very expensive. Plus I'm guessing there are some nukes stored on that base and sure don't want them washing away...

Drew, They are in the path but over 200 miles inland. It will be interesting to see how much wind they have. The Hurricane is 400 miles wide.

We now have 4 mph winds out of the SE gusting to 8 mph.

Here is a link to a fellow Weatherflow Tempest weather station in Little Cypress Texas, (40-50 miles inland) from the area close to where landfall is predicted.
It will be interesting to check the current conditions of wind and pressure until he losses power.
Tempest

at 6pm:

Wind NE 25mph gusting to 43mph

Station pressure
1006.8mb and falling. (29.73inHg)

Quick stop to say no joy(cold) in Mudville today! Unit in the attic was 120 ac and all the new ones are 220 ac. Now we need to wait for an electrician to upgrade/pull new wires.Ugh!
At least today is 55 degrees now only going to 70. Still humid but better than 80's and 90's. Installer promises to have us up and running even if he has to come sunday. Wood install start is monday and temps are going to be warm.
At least I finished the painting and the master bedroom is now ready for flooring.
Stay safe and healthy all! Hope storms don't cause to much damage.

I’m considering doing some hardwood flooring. Would like to see pics of the install. Will they transition at doorways, or keep running into other rooms?

looks like Laura will go North of here this weekend. Buckeye, you should get plenty of rain from this.

I’m hoping we do. Still no rain , very dry, which is good for potato digging. Got 3 rows / 3 buckets dug tonight. Got just over 1 row left, so hope 1 more bucket. Maybe can get done before rain comes.

83F and clear @ 21:15, high today hit 88.5F ... overnight low expected to only go down to 72F. Similar tomorrow.

Got one suet feeder and the nugget feeder filled first thing, emptied bucket of debris into compost pile and covered with old compost. Then hauled old redbud tree up to burn pile.

Following that I placed latest Menards order - some five bags of composted cow manure, five bags of concrete, some plumbing odds and ends, and a 20' section of 12" double wall culvert for the dry creek bed on the path over to the pole barn.

After that scheduled flu shot for next week and then appointment for check up/normal meds for the week after.

Then called and spoke with a friend I haven't spoken to in quite a while. Was kind of dreading the call, as her mother is in a nursing home. As of the last time we spoke they had not had any COVID cases. This time it turned out that they had had an outbreak at the facility (50+ cases) since we last spoke and her mother came down with it ... fortunately it was a mild case for her and she has since tested negative/no symptoms. And the facility has since moved all positive cases out to another specialized facility for positive cases.

After that I fed the downstairs cat, got cleaned up and shaved, rounded up the the Sawzall (to cut the 20' culvert so it would fit in the van) and headed off for Menards.

Got current order and previous order for 144 retaining wall block and geogrid picked up and then headed for the barn ... after a quick detour at Dunkin for a frozen coffee (... was drenched with sweat ...)

Small shower just before I got to the house, which it apparently missed.

The Woman was just putting the spaghetti in the pot when I walked in the door.

Hope everyone had a great day.
