Have you considered a wall mount? When we built our homes at the ranch and in Richmond, we had power outlets and satellite TV connection jacks put into the wall up high then installed tilting wall mounts.

Prayers to all.

That痴 what we did here, only rooms without power coves are the dining room and bathrooms

Got to about 52 today, felt nice outside. Went to church, preacher called me the miracle man, lol. Visited mom, went to lunch at an Irish pub, had Shepard’s pie, it was OK, I’ve had better. Came home for a little of that energy conservation y’all talk about. I’m starting to feel more normal and getting better energy every day.

Hope you all have a great Sunday, prayers.

We have a Panasonic 50 inch plasma in living room. Takes two people to mount on wall.

When we got it, late 2007 early 2008, wife commented how big it was. We often sit at the dining table about 30ft away. Lately, wife has been commenting how small.

I think the wall space would nicely accommodate a 75, maybe larger. Probably need new wall mount too. Interesting that those are sometimes less expensive that what this one cost. Nothing wrong with this one, excellent actually so would be a stretch to justify. Maybe next year

That's interesting, Ron. I've never seen that model walker before. It certainly looks impressive.

My aunt (85 years old) has fallen with a standard walker 3 times each time breaking a bone and causing other injuries. Last one kept her in rehab for 3 months. This one stays solid on the floor. Brakes are always on. To release brakes she must pull brake levers like she is trying to apply brakes.
If it works to keep her from falling it will be worth what it cost.

Well, got the BH on and dug the trench for electric service out to the new garage. Quite a few roots, but nothing too big. No rocks at all! First part was in a more open area, finishing the last 10 feet I had to do with the stabilizers up, only had 6 inches each side.... one side the garage, the other a fence. Only way to get in there. Little scary, one does not realize how easy the tractor gets moved around by the hoe when the stabs are up! No catastrophic damage, so all is good!

We got the line dropped in and the entrance box through the wall. Tomorrow we will get it back filled, had to stop early because dinner was ready.

While I was playing on the tractor, I had a New York holiday roast and a lamb roast in the smoker, cooking low and slow since 9 this morning. They both turned out fantastic! I did not think about taking pictures....duh.... I am now ready for bed....

24 going to 52.

BEF, .... Sorry your dad's farm has gone vegan. :)

It has always been vegan - cows don't eat meat.

Ron I wish i could convince my mom to get one of those walkers. She feels less stable with wheels and is determined to drag her walker till the tennis balls wear out - about every month.

Have you looked at the UP Walker they advertise on TV?

Good evening all. 38F for the start, overcast, calm wind. Sun peeked out about 1, wind stayed light, and high temp was 50F. Chapel to start the day, then make breakfast, then into conservation of energy mode. Napped early afternoon, then watch the Cowgirls play poorly after last week good game.
Eric appreciate the commentary on your hearing aide experience. especially the last remark.
Billy sounds like you had a nice family get together.
Drew sounds like nice laid back day.
Rick like your puller
Ted sounds like a nice Christmas prep day.
Ron walker look different.
Buckeye the fact your parent(s) can't do it any more is usually the hardest part in dealing with them. Nice that your father realized that and sold them on his own.
Randy sound like you are getting better and behaving
Ron will be interesting to see how she handle the backward brake usage. Somebody made a bicycle with backward steering. Made for some interesting videos :D
prayers for all.

A beautiful bright sliver of moon shining in the deepest of blue sky was waiting to greet me as soon as I opened the back door this morning. In the distance I could hear (un-aided !) a donkey braying away, as if setting the scene for a nativity play.

My daughter and her family are arriving this afternoon and Christmas is just around the corner. To top it all, the days are now getting lighter, at this latitude we get to enjoy a an extra second of daylight today and I don't intend to squander any of it. Winter is sometimes a miserable time of year, yet it can also offer the best of times too.

LS, you look to have been having fun. Has your MIL got her big surprise yet ?

Rick, you have an impressive tree puller, a good festive challenge would be to pull a spare cracker with it. Oh hang on, can it really be true that you don't have Christmas crackers in America ? If that is so, perhaps I should explain. First, imagine an empty one of these rolls being gift wrapped :confused2:

toilet roll.png

Inside is folded a paper hat that is worn to make everyone look equally ridiculous during Christmas lunch (Only the sulkiest adolescent would ever think to spoil the fun by not wearing the hat :) ), a slip of paper with a really bad joke, a small gift and most importantly it goes BANG when pulled between two people. Only one of them is "lucky" enough to win the contents, but Christmas being a time for sharing, we make sure no one goes without.

good morning all.
45 going up to 56 today with light rain throughout much of day.
Nice dinner last night, the chicken pot pie, made in Cape Cod, was yummy, just packed full of chicken with a lower than average amount of salt used, yeah.
Should be a quiet day today.
Mostly you must be awfully fit to do those miles. How long does a modern bicycle tire last? Old ones seemed to dry rot faster than worn out.

Good morning,
temp here is 30°F and going to a high of 39. Wind SW 13 mph. Mostly cloudy. UV index is low. As if at 39°F people are going to take their cloths off to get a sun tan. lol

I am going to the city today and get my month end supplies. Then it will be back home and take the tarp down that has been protecting the open side of my lean-to. the lean-to will be coming down in the spring.

Have a good day all

It was 18 when I left home this morning....high in the mid-40's

After I got to work, I realized I'm actually supposed to be off on vacation. Well, now that I'm here, I'll hang in for a few hours...
