Good morning!!!!

A little cooler day today, not much planned.
Ron, my heart sunk when I read what you wrote, been there, done this, wishing you both positive outcomes because
you are in this together.

All of you hug your wives today. Never take them for granted.
I am reminded of this as I can't imagine who is making all this laundry I am constantly
doing. It all used to get put back nicely folded. i don't do folds real well.
And so many other things that were done for me.

I had a very strange house visitor yesterday morning. One I never expected and hope does not reappear.
Two inches long. Bright green.
Cute as a button, staring up at me, me having just woken up, sit down on the toilet and look down.
And there you were.
My own little Geico ad telling me I could save 15 percent.
How a gekko got into my house is a mystery, I must have left the garage door open for too long and it hopped in from the garage.
harmless, threw a towel on it and dropped outside, leaving a very happy gekko scurrying off to the lawn.
boy would that have freaked me out if it ran across my bed at night...not much for bugs and critters in the house.

56 right now...heading up to the mid-80's as a high.
Dump run and mowing are the highest priorities today. After that...maybe finish mowing the field, or set up that target range (already mowed a clear area for that).
If I get all that done...probably take the 10/22 and SR22 (both .22LR) down to the field and see if I can still hit a target.

BTW, I did buy another 10/22. Sportsman's Guide had a package deal...standard 10/22 (wood stock and blued), a 3x9 scope, 25 round mag (rifle comes with the 10 round rotary mag) and 500 rounds of .22LR. Total price was $294.00. Not an outstanding deal when you break down the prices, but my calculations come out to $30-$40 less than if I had bought the items separately. I'm sure my wife will appreciate that purchase!
My next firearms purchase will probably be a suppressor (silencer) for the 10/22 Takedown and SR22 pistol. Both have threaded barrels for that purpose. All told, including the $200.00 tax stamp, it'll be about $550-$600 to put a suppressor on those firearms

57F clear now mid 80's for high.

Another good night of sleeping weather.:dance1:

dew is so heavy I can see drops of water in the puddles, super light drizzle almost and Wunderground shows my area being totally clear. It's dark grey out, not stormy, just so much water in the air I guess it just can't stay up there...
.30 inches of rain last night, everything is very damp out. Looking at the long term forecast, I'd say it's going to dry out again in a hurry.

Good morning! 75˚ partly cloudy, we hit a rainless 95˚ yesterday but another round of rains this weekend will keep us out of the 100˚s.

Ron our prayers for Betty and your family.

Drew, thanks for the kind words. Until we have a second opinion I will not say what the diagnoses was. But it is not Cancer or anything there is cure for.

Poured first cup of coffee. 65° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with chance of thunderstorms in afternoon. Wife got a diagnose yesterday. Not good but at least we know. Making plans for a second opinion.
Good Morning All.

Ron, prayers from Giddings for Betty and you.

Somber coffee time.

A million things to do. Not sure which to tackle first. I would like to get the plastic off the garden before the rains hit later today. Bank, grocery store, haircuts, appliance store to check how the dishwasher's soap dispenser should click shut or not...

Too wet to mow or shred. We had an unexpected downpour yesterday just before sunset. I'm sure someone got to see a nice rainbow. I saw one in Dime Box Texas driving home. A very rare wet August for Texas.

RNG, can't wait to see pics of it coming together.

Ed, a new pocket knife. yea! Same for Roy except he might have to take his wifey out to eat so she can cool down after she sees the toy. ;)

I was looking at the pricing for the Mitsubishi mini splits and they are still really pricey IMO. Are they cheaper to install? I assume you have to run copper up to the coils?

. . . I would like to get the plastic off the garden before the rains hit later today.

Kyle, my plastic came off yesterday, it was baked and crumbly and had started to blow away in little chunks.
What are you planning for the fall garden?
