ex-electricity pole strainer post? The added word "strainer" has me confused.
Spade? Shovel or a hand post hole digger - two handles like a clam pulling dirt from hole?
post knocker? Tractor mounted driver or hand held driver?

Strainer post = A big post at the end of the fence line, buried deep into the ground, that is subject to the high force needed to keep the wire under tension. We say it "takes the strain", so we call it a
strainer post. What do you call them ?
Spade = Dictionary says "A sturdy digging tool having a thick handle and a heavy, flat blade that can be pressed into the ground with the foot". We use a shovel to move loose material. A spade has a sharper, stronger blade for penetrating the ground and then used to lever away the soil. I use a narrow spade with a long heavy blade for digging holes in hard ground.
Two handled post hole digger = two handled post hole digger !
Post knocker = Post driver. Can be hand held, or tractor mounted. Tractor mounted version may be on this year's Christmas wish list.
Strainer posts just laugh at hand held post drivers.
We also have a special tool for digging in very long posts - we call that a
chainsaw.
