Randy, are you sure you don't want fuzzy dice on the Monte C to match those on your tractor? :)

You sure you weren’t Shecky Greene in a previous life? LOL

26 this morning! Looks like the last hard freeze though, so I can finally start planting flowers.
Went to cruise in last night, guy tried to pick up Ellen while we were sitting together at a picnic table. I finally explained how precarious the situation was getting and offered him three steps, he accepted. Ellen swore he must have been drunk, I voted stupid! She was embarrassed, I told her she couldn’t help being pretty and 6 years younger than me, and looks 5 years younger than that. It was funny, in a weird way, who does that?
Anyway, had a great time with friends we hadn’t seen in a long time and a good laugh.
Kids are coming this weekend for moms 95 birthday Sunday. Ellen is coming over this afternoon to help me organize and shop. After everybody leaves we are going trail riding Monday, she’s riding her pretty little 12 hand paint, I’m going to ride my favorite mule, Festus.

Heaven help you with a woman that loves horses. Mine are lawn ornaments for me and they are still too much work.

Be wary..be very wary... LOL.

Her horses are on her dads farm and they have plenty of help. All I do is saddle up and untack. I don’t want horses here!

Toppop loves horses, don't let him kid you, he just wants them under his car hood!

off to run the tiller up and down the corn rows, might take a break and go mow the roadsides with Kubota, nice break from the pollen,
cab filter really works. Likely a lot of trash to pick up first, which I'm trying to figure out how to not let it sour my mood but some of this stuff is
really yukky and it's hard not to. Haven't figured out why some folks think my property is their trash can. And with roadsides on two different roads,
i get double the fun. But otherwise it is fun, and a whole lot of dandelions are going to meet their maker shortly.

25 with a forecast high of 39. Wind S 10 mph. About an inch of snow coming and then changing to rain in the afternoon.

The tractor went to the dealers last night. His truck is a little big for trying to get into this driveway, so he turned around in the neighbours' driveway and we loaded right on the road. I absolutely love living on a dead end gravel road (2nd last house). He parked right dead center on the road and up she went.
She should be back on Friday.

daugen, are you going to make wine?

Have a good day all

Drew, I have a reacher, I call it. It’s one of those things you squeeze the trigger to grip stuff. It has a barb clamped to the stationary side, I drive around in the Cub Cadet with a basket and pick up the beer cans and condoms.

I've been using a little plastic pitch fork, helps to get floaters out of ditch water, maybe I should try something different.
I'd like an R/C one...like a cheap bomb disposal unit. Underwear, found that yesterday.
Not many condoms, probably aren't used around here...

L4N, I bet you watched that truck until it was out of sight. Tough to see the tractor go...better when it comes back.

Today is woodworking day. I wish the Shopsmith table saw could handle the width of boards I had to cross cut for the bathroom sink cabinet. Instead, I used a Skil saw, albeit Makita brand. The disc sander on the shopsmith came in handy to straighten out the boards, as the cuts weren't quite right angles. After I finish coffee, I'm making holes for dowels and gluing it up with polyurethane glue-- I'm too impatient for PVA glue, and then stain and put on two part epoxy clear coat.

Pictures of animals, probably tomorrow, when I set up fence somewhere else and move the goats and sheep.

Garbage here is collected every other week. The charge is 10€/person/year, regardless of age. The dump is on the territory of the village, so I think we get really cheap trash collection prices. Recycling is once a month plastic bottles, less frequently other stuff. Metal I just pile up to take to the scrap yard, where I get about 0.10€/kg for steel, more for aluminum. The relative difference in prices and purchasing power makes it worth it to haul a trailer of metal to the scrap yard here. Glass beer bottles have a deposit, and wine bottles we usually keep for bottling our own wine or juice. There is twice a year recylcing pick up for glass, even for paper. There is also a pickup once or twice a year for motor oil. A lot of paper and cardboard gets burned during the winter, and often just burned up in the field during the summer with branches. Hungarians drive up in vans buying scrap metal and used batteries, so I get 1 or 2€ for dead batteries. In the cities, gypsies pick up any wooden waste to use for fuel, and metal to take to sell at the scrap yard.

Tires are the only thing not collected. I've found creative uses for ours-- they are handy to fill low areas under the fence. Someone else in the village made stairs up a steep slope using filled tires, and I'm thinking I'll eventually do the same. Neighbors sometimes use them as fuel to start a pile of brush burning. Doubtlessly, this is breaking all sorts of national and EU laws. Oh well.

Do the condoms go into the recycle container along with the rest of the plastics and rubber?

Good afternoon. Fog closed in last night and today is murky too. I need to stop looking at the weather forecasts before I get too depressed :(

Freedom, glad you can take some animal pics for Drew. I don't have many photogenic lambs at the moment, this relentless wet weather is making life far harder for them than usual. Only the Knackerman's (dead stock collector) pension fund is enjoying this spring.

RNG, thought you were kidding that your R69S was making that sound until you blipped the throttle. It chugs at tickover like one of the old static engines seen at country fairs

Maybe a dog or two in the back window with their heads bobbing up and down? Ed

A very wealthy friend of mine always has a single bobble dog head on the dashboard of all his vehicles, including his boat!

I was going to comment, but then I changed my mind. I didn't want to get shot down in flames twice in the same week.

It is a warm morning 40*, yesterday was the nicest day so far this season, mid 60's sunny and a little wind. We did get some rain overnight but the sun is out now. They are saying it's going to be windy and partly cloudy with a high in the 50's.

It took half the day to get the FEL and back hoe back on the tractor. Had to run in town to get a new hose for the FEL.

Bullwinkle stopped by for dinner yesterday afternoon.

Good morning to all! Low of about 48, going up to 74! Wind is supposed to come back w/ a vengeance. Storm passing to the North could generate gusts up to 70mph! I better batten down the hatches! It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday, helped the wifey transplant some lilacs she had propagated into large galvanized planters. They look nice. She has a few tree seeds that sprouted, along with about 140 flower seeds in the grow trays. ....she said yesterday,"I don't know what I'm going to do with all these".... I said: "why did you plant so many?" ...just got that look. Then I said: "we'll just plant them everywhere we can, then some". Should be pretty around here in the next month!:D

Came up with an idea for additional lights on the tractor, I had 2 LED cube lights laying around, figured I'd use them on the tractor. Could'nt bring myself to drill any holes in the tractor. I purchased some 90# magnets off eBay. When they came, there was a plastic ring between them. Tried separating them...snap, snap, snap..... Wow are they strong. Only 1 1/4" across. Mounted 2 on each light bracket. They hold onto the ROPS w/o any movement. Used a small 3/8" magnet w/ a cable clamp on it to hold the wires. Now totally removable and repositionable.

Off to the Docs today for follow up visit. We'll see how that goes, hopefully start PT soon.

RNG - IT IS REAL!. Beautiful work, sounds good. Like that little click and spark on the points....

RIP - glad to hear the bird dilemma is ended...at least for the time being...they are very resourceful.

Randy - nice looking ride. Be careful out on that mule...:D

Farmer - hope your boy does good w/ this round of tubes. My daughter had them 3 times...now at 33, she always complains that she hears too well...she says "irritating".

Prayers out for all those needing them,
Everyone have a safe enjoyable day!

Good morning everyone.

A sunny/hazy low 20コF's to start the day. Alternating days of sun and rain into the weekend and it looks like a rainout here for the weekend. At least morning low temperatures will be in the 30F's. A good day to mess with wood and the woodpile before the rains come.

Ted- Good luck with the doctor's visit.

CWB- Nice looking moose. Thanks for sharing. Moose are an uncommon sight around here.

RNG- All your time, work, and money created a beautiful motorcycle. I hope that you have many uneventful miles together.

Randy- I am looking forward to more pictures of your project car.

I hope that everyone has a decent day today.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.
