Good morning 2 degrees with wind chill of -11
17 years ago today since I had my Heart attack so I think that I'll just take it easy today after I go clear up tow that the wind drifted back in the driveway

One nearby WU weather station reporting minus 3 and another plus 2, so I'll split the difference and just say it is COLD...and I now have a cold. Tried so hard to keep hands away from my face while at the gym, and washing hands frequently, as recommended by Dr. Drew .

Today is the last day of deer season, and I think the first time ever I didn't drive down to SE Virginia for it. But, need to stay here and keep woodstove going and Coco warm. (real excuse is that it is just too dang cold).

Drove to town yesterday, and back roads still ice and snow covered, drove slowly, too...the major highways are clean and dry. BEF, ate at 5 Guys in your honor...but couldn't eat all the fries in a "Little" order. Usually I have my wife with me to help.

I need to start on tax prep for the farm...more complicated this year with the solar and timbering, and need to send the owners their 1099s before end of month. Anybody find a better deal on TurboTax Business than Costco?

David, drinking my Kona this morning and thinking of the last phot you posted with the all the green plants...looked warm.

Don, nice looking landing strip. If I was a golfer, I'd use that to practice...otherwise, looks like a good Frisbee field.

Eric, I usually wait for the field to freeze over before driving on it when things get real wet. I think I could drive a jumbo jet and not sink in today. Glad to share a new word with you. I read an op-ed around New Years that recommended resolutions...it said to learn something new each day, something surprising each week, and something shocking each month.

No leak I'm aware of, SML is down almost five feet water rationing now in effect for Bedford PSA

3° and sunny. Slept in my bed last night, first time since nov 27th. Was a little chilly away from the pellet stove, but sure could tell when the electric heat strip kicked in. $$$$

One last day before the boys leave for college again. I miss them when they are gone.

51F right now......very light drizzle. Will get some rain this afternoon. Looking down at a herd of elk....at least 25......very nice. Went to start tractor this morning......battery finally pooped out. Have charged it several times.....no cranking amps left. Realized I bought that battery in 3/2000.....got my money's worth. New battery.....group 51R cost $95 with core exchange.....pricey little devil! Hope it lasts 8 years!

Could I ask your recommendation for the 51R battery?
I need to purchase one for 2 of my Wheel Horse C160. That is the group size that fits them.
I have looked at the one at TSC, NAPA and Walmart and read different stories of short life spans.
Last battery I bought for my Ford 1520 was from Walmart in 2010 and it is still working.

-6 right now...not going to move much with -4 being the predicted high. There's a wind chill advisory calling for 30 MPH gusts. I'm going to see how it actually is in a couple of hours. If the winds aren't too bad, I'm going to run the snow blower over the drive and walks.

Depending on what time they come through ... it's supposed to arrive here sometime after noon. Air temps will be warm enough for it to fall as rain, but will freeze on contact as surface temps are below freezing. Hope they miss it.

My mistake, they fly thru dallas, not st louis. They came up thru st louis. I could have picked st L flight, but now remember not doing that because of delays last yr in winter.

if you buy their longer life ones. Penn used to make theirs, no idea now.

My dr. said to double the dosage (2/day) if I had symptoms, I did and fever and pills only lasted 4 days.

Happy Survivor HA day! You've had 10 more anniversaries than me. Considering our chances were 50/50 that day I think we are doing pretty good. May my brother RIP.

Considering bringing my stereo up to date. My current stereo is 20+ yrs old, wirh 30+ yo speakers.
Looking at pioneer 7.2ch receiver at costco. It lists a ton of features i have no clue what they are. But one thing it has is a phono input. I still have a turntable, and a lot of receivers i looked at over the yrs did away with phono.
Will need new speakers also.

Amazon has it same price, free 2 day delivery...

It's been about 8 years since my heart attack...when I shovel snow, I take it way easy and make sure someone (wife or stepdaughter) keeps an eye out.

Looks like 23* for the low this morning, it did get back in to the low 50's yesterday. It's overcast with a chance of some lite snow this afternoon in to the night. They are saying a inch or two.The high is going to be in the low 40's.

I don't plan on doing much today. I'll see how that goes.
