Buckeye how is the Polaris treating you and are you still happy with your choice?

   / Good morning!!!! #63,542
Ya mean I have to give you money too, mow your lawn, till your fields, scrape your driveway, bring you food and loan you tools and equipment too?
Sounds like job security to me...

Thall, my life and faith is built around good works. I believe in doing a kindness every day. This destitute drunken neighbor has gotten more than his fair share
of kindnesses. So don't worry about compassion being at play.

It would make my retirement a lot easier!

Hey Drew, if you don’t want to spend all your time with Randy....
We don’t have a vacant house available next door, but I think we could arrange for something.

Whoa, don’t be horning in on my neighbor Drew! LOL

46 going to 76 here today, similar over in Front Royal where we are headed shortly. Grandson has a football game and I’m helping my son put the Katskinz leather seat covers on his new Tacoma. It’s the off road model with everything else, how he missed the leather I don’t know. Something about paying extra for a package he didn’t want. I thought $45 grand for a mid size truck was already extra!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 46° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 74° with partly cloudy skies. Good lunch with retired neighbors yesterday. Not much planned for today.
Good Morning All.

Good morning! Drew has me looking for a place nearby where he could move to to be by neighbor. All I have to do is to start drinking a lot and trade my Kubota with Kyle's John Deere to qualify. :D (Unless Kyle has his fixed then I have to get Mom's JD-B)

It's actually warmer outside than inside this morning at 73˚ outside and 71˚ inside. It will be a cloudy day with southerly winds and reach 86˚.

Might run to HD and get a few winter flowers to spruce up the area.

Ron with nothing planned for the day one might get bored but I'm told in retirement that never happens

The retired "nothing planned days" are usually the bussiest. By noon usually 3 projects and one emergency project pop up. That's why I try to plan something every day.

35 here going to 70. Will be enjoying the foliage with my rake, blower and tarp. Need to figure out how to get the tractor involved also. I have the snow blower on but found out the hard way it doesn't like leaves. Lol.

I have this deep rooted thought that when retirement comes boredom will set in. Sometimes I become under motivated if numerous tasks are not at hand. But I also wonder how long I can keep working at 60 hours plus a week.

I think it's best to keep working if you even have thoughts of being bored. Retirement is for those who are ready to be active with a thousand projects they never have time to do because work keeps getting in the way.

Don in reality it's probably my insashable appetite for expensive toys that keep me working. That and insurance that costs way more than any house payment we ever had. I just turned 64 actually this past Monday and figure I have two or three more years left in me before grazing in the field time comes

47 going to 77. Was crystal clear earlier, now some fog is moving in.

Tried but never saw a single meteor last night or this morning...plenty dark and clear. Was out throwing the glow in the dark Frisbee and looking up at Orion. Plan to try again tonight.

Buppies, retirement means more trips to the beach. You seem to love it there. Plus, I know you love to operate that mini-Ex...and I have several places where you can "play" with it :).

You are correct we do love it here. I do love to run the mini ex, speaking of which it's in the shop for service. We now have buckets 36, 24, 18 and 12 inch and looking at 48 inch ditching bucket that tilts

I do stay up!

If you are comfortable continually denigrating this mans home, property and action, go ahead and continue.

We all have our problems and crosses to bear!
Whoa.
You continue to spout unfortunate nonsense in the middle of the night.
All I have ever done is tell the Truth. No exaggeration, no making fun of the guy just to make fun of him.
I have to deal with him almost every day and he is a paranoid delusional alcoholic.
Since you seem to be offended by my "reporting" I'll try to report less.

You can't denigrate someone or something when you tell the truth. I am literally the only neighbor who will have anything to do with him.
Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade.

If you are looking to throw rocks, please find another thread. If you are looking to defend an unfortunate, you are barking up the wrong tree here.
At least I'm glad you understand that Quakerism is built on compassion, since you brought my faith into this.
Let's move on.

When you come, bring all those buckets...I think we can put them to good use. :)

That's mighty generous of you. But that's too far to tow equipment. One day I'll rent one locally, and you can teach me how to operate it.

Maybe we can meet for a regional excavator party.

Another beautiful day here. Need to keep watering trees and maybe I'll get those hood and side panels of the Massey painted. They are easy since they come off and can be worked on flat; the rear part must be done in place and will take tons of blue tape. Otherwise I need to make a Lowes run to get a few more boards for the carryall.
And then I will likely pump ten more gallons of diesel into my yellow cans and take them over to my neighbor. His JD doesn't overheat as fast just running the weeder cultivator, and I'm happy to seem him out there keeping his rows weeded. He's happy doing it too.
The sad part is he planted all these collards too late and they are only tiny seedlings at this late date. Gonna get frozen...though everyone tells me the collards like mine in my veggie garden taste best after a freeze or two. Does that turn the "green" taste into something sweeter? Still learning my collards.
But there aren't many tiny plants that like getting frozen. Hard enough we haven't got enough rain here.
