Agree wish we could leave the time alone as it takes weeks to get over it
Kinda partial to Golden retrievers or standard poodles. Believe there is a good poodle breeder very close to you Drew Familyaffairstandards.com. Great place to look

Vey brisk outside this morning 34 and windy may be good time to get in hottub to soak some old bones. Looks like another storm brewing for later this week and more cold temperatures headed our way and Ron I'll do what I can to help with the weather while you're on your annual treck.

Roy,

Stabil? I've ran out of the Polar-D my Kioti dealer sold me for winterizing my diesel. Will Stabil work? I cannot seem to find Polar-D anywhere...

Big Island David,

Change the locks.

As for gas grills a few years back I splurged on a swanky stainless steel monster as my birthday gift, cost a fortune, and low and behold it only lasted slightly longer before starting to have issues and fall apart. Since then every other Memorial Day sale I go buy to "special" at Walmart for $60-$90, and take the old one to the scrap metal joint (I keep the tank of course). I now have 3-4 good tanks and I'm a little past due on replacing my current "special"... Unfortunately gas grills are disposable nowadays...

Be well all,
David

reminds me to go look outside and check for limbs down, big wind here too last night and still blowing about 15mph now, tops of trees whipping around. And I lost my patio umbrella, had put it down but not far enough, huge crash around 9pm, thought a tree fell on the house which is impossible because the house sits totally out in the open, so what made that crash? The fool umbrella bumpity bumping over the deck and landing on the lawn, where I grabbed it before it decided to go airborne. All bent up, rats.
I'll check it again this morning and see if it's fixable.

speaking of hot tubs, I did it yesterday, bought a Kauai model from Caldera. Kauai Spa | Caldera Spas & Hot Tubs
Need to get an electrician in to do the prewiring and I might get it installed in a week.
Funny, the guy who owns the hot tub/pool company is also the service manager of the local propane company. Now I know where the "four strong guys" are coming from when the spa gets installed. These guys are going to come out and top off my tank while they just happen to be there to help pick up the tub and put it on the porch. Mighty convenient and all good.

I love Bella, our spoiled rotten Boxer...but if we ever get another dog, it'll be a french bulldog or a Boston terrier. Smaller dogs are a bit easier to maintain, and, as far as Boxers...we (wife and I) are a bit too old for such an active dog.

I have hinted to Sharon about how nice those Shelties are and small enough to to be easy to handle. No luck although I think Sira may be the last big dog. We've had large/giant (115-145 lbs) breeds now since about 1998. I love 'em but even things like bathing them becomes a challenge. Every car we buy gets evaluated as to how well two 4' long dogs will fit. Many dog kennels don't have enclosures that are really big enough for a several days stay. There are just a lot of extra accommodations that go with large dogs.

A chilly 46* outside. Horses are fed and out, and we have let the chickens out of the coop. They are a roaming. Should be a beautiful day again today. Low to mid 70s, and plenty of sunshine. Things turn a bit this week, and we are expecting 2-3 days of rain. Woo Hoo.

I keep thinking about another dog, but can't decide where to go on that. I like rescues, and there are some good organizations near us in Austin and San Antonio. Weimeraner? German Shorthaired Pointer? Another Rhodesian Ridgeback? One of each? LOL
