got 3/4 of my rv washed and dried and then back and legs gave out.
will go out later and finish it.
nice day, sunny with puffy white clouds

one project for this afternoon which I can do sitting down is solder a new connector
on to my portable solar panel so it can plug into rv. though I bet if I wimped out and used
a wago lever connector, would work fine.

before I got my trac vac in NC, I used one of the old fashioned sweepers to pick up the pine needles
I was amazed how well it worked, and how heavy those needles were when it was full.
Got even heavier with the trac vac but that held a lot more.

those trees along my neighbor's driveway are now mature and very pretty

BEF, looks like a great train ride. I just watched an hour long documentary on the history of the Norfolk and Western Railway and learned how impressive and important the 611 was to the steam era...that's the one you rode out of Staunton a while back? If Buckingham offers it again, I'd like to book a trip.
Rode it 2 yrs ago. They had it again this yr, so maybe 2 yrs?

Bigboy is coming east next summer

47F with fog @ 11:00, calling for clouds and a high of 55F for the day. Low this morning was 34.3F.

Got cleaned up and shaved first thing yesterday.

Amazon delivered our dishwasher detergent which is on subscription.

Then headed down to the basement to get back at it.

Successfully de-soldered old water line that went to the softener. Decided to just leave it off and not cap it, just to minimize work. Stuck a bucket under it to catch the drip, drip, drip ...

Moved 4' section of stud wall into place and got it plumb and nailed the top plate to the floor joists. Then broke out the new Tapcon T22 and fired a couple of nails into the bottom plate to secure it to the concrete floor.

Was kind of a tight squeeze with the well pressure tank still in it's original location:

With that done I re-soldered the old water pipe for the softener back into place. Sealed up without using additional solder ... (y)

By that time Woman had arrived home with chow so I took a break to go eat.

After dinner headed back down and resurrected a partially used can of Great Stuff expanding foam (dated 2017 ... ) by using a drill bit to clean out the hardened foam in the dispensing tube ... and then used that to seal the gap in the foam at the corner where the south and west walls come together which would inaccessible once the south stud wall was put into place.

Also sealed up a gap at the other end of the south wall between the last two pieces of foam board.

Once that was done I started nailing the 8' section of studs together for the south wall ... which was complicated by only having about 9' of clear floor space to work in. Nonetheless managed to get that nailed up enough to raise it and mostly move it into place:

Will need some additional toe-nailing and tweaking with the hand sledge to get things flush and plumb ... once I go out and get it from the storage box in garden.

Once that's done I'll get it nailed to the joist on top and the concrete floor on the bottom.

Then onto finishing up the studs for the rest of the south wall.

After that I'll start drilling the holes for the electrical wire and placing boxes for outlets.

Did not get the battery charger put on the Cub yesterday so that's the first thing on the agenda for today.

Beyond the above just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)

71°F and no rain, but forecast
Really good day with the new flail yesterday. Actually felt I might be getting hang of doing the slopes.
If I can beat the rain, hope to finish the area other side of the driveway today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

What the earliest you ever start plowing.
I don't know to be honest. Usually, by the end of November we will have about a foot on the ground. I plow at 3" with the BB angled like this ))>. After I get a good base (all the driveways are dirt or gravel), so I drive the snow down into the dirt to make a good base. Then I will turn the BB around and plow like this (>.

good breakfast this morning with the usual gang, place was busy so we had to wait for a table.

Nice day, spent the afternoon sho oting clays at the neighbors house. I didn't go after any of the targets. Couldn't hit any clays though. Nothing like living in a rural area where this is normal stuff.......

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.3C and it's presently only 9.5C [heading to 17C], fairly cloudy & calm. There was 1.0mm in the gauge @ 0700, all from yesterday's forenoon.

As per usual, I'm off to Church in about a half hour and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.
