Good morning TBN!!
33 this morning and going to be sunny in mid 60s.

Pretty good day yesterday.
I took the carb out and recleaned it. This time with carb cleaner. Checked the float level and got it back on. Took a few cranks then it fired right up. Let it run for about ten minutes. Then I couldn't resist. Took it for its first ride in years!! Just short about a tenth of a mile as I still have to work on brakes to get the air out. Got it in the garage when the reverse cable broke. But I drove it. Quite pleased.
Got the cable ordered (due tomorrow) Next up is welding a couple of cross bars and seats.
Probably spend most of the cold months tinkering, adding lights and some paint. Lots to do but no rush. Keeps me busy though.
Cleaned up the mess from the party and called it a day.
Now...

49 outside, heading to mid 60's today. We expected a lot of rain, or some rain according to the local weather people, it seems to have missed us. Again. That's the pattern we guess to the area we are in. The storms frequently split to the north and south of us. One can watch them go by in the summer time. Quite the sights to behold. I am totally bored, so my weather projections are something to observe and gripe about.

Kyle_in_Tex no rehab. Just rest and take it easy. I found out the hard way, and am finding out now, just how much the ab muscle group holds you together. I will not be doing my morning exercise routines any time soon. LOL. I broke out some info from a while back on yoga and Tai chi. Mentally I need to slow down so I will start a new routine up.

Losartan user here. I found out I had very high blood pressure, very high, during a routine physical. Over a decade ago. It truly is the silent killer. If there are side effects, they are unknown to me as I have not come across them.

Not sure what I will get into today. I am half-way through a book my wife got, "Don't sweat the small stuff". Interesting find from her, but I think she worries about more things than I do. I am sort of a content person. A really funny thing happened when I first opened the book. It landed on a page that said "Imagine yourself at your own funeral". That was before the surgery. LOL.

Good morning! 40˚F heading to 80˚ with cloudless skies and a South wind.
This weekend was the last weekend of the Fall Festival. I like it when it is real busy so I declined the November dinosaur festival and the Christmas festival. However I do get 8 season passes and will go during Christmas to see how the first year of selling 1/5 of the 200,000 cut-your-own Christmas trees are going and report back.

26F light frost mostly cloudy afternoon low 50's rain just after sunset not much and it's welcome.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...critter food and dump run,markers in the driveway show where not to plow the snow,couple wheelbarrow loads wood in the basement,finish removing items from shed before the cold settles in,remove rear mower from tractor install back blade.

Consumers in the 30 states that use the federal exchange, healthcare.gov, can now get a preview of what they’ll pay for 2026 coverage. The site opened for so-called window shopping on Tuesday.

The monthly premium for the benchmark plan on healthcare.gov will soar 30%, on average, according to the KFF analysis, which is based on data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In states that run their own exchanges, the benchmark plan premium will rise by an average of 17%.

Dropped letters off at the PO and drove the long way back. A stretch still had leaves in beautiful colors. Wife was pleased with the drive

Stacked a few more loads of firewood

Foot was acting up. Loosening the laces helped some. Really feel old when people hold the door for a long time to let you in

We got lots of work done yesterday and even made a trip to the local, and very rural grocery store. With it be so, do windy here yesterday we did pork chops in the oven. We are heading for home this afternoon.
