While setting on the deck last evening and Boo laying on the lawn, vehicle pull into driveway sat idling almost min, guessing Boo decided they weren't welcome headed down to investigate maybe to let them know no trespassing, vehicle left before got his chance...was interesting to watch Boo action.
Hope it wasn't Ed McMahan with Reader's Digest coming to award you your 5 million bucks !!!

Wifey's birthday today. Yesterday afternoon, daughter came over and we made a double batch sheet cake of carrot cake. Wifey wanted carrot cake, I told daughter, "If we're going to do it, let's at least make a double batch." So we did. We have an oldie but goodie Cuisinart food processor that I chopped up the carrots really fine. It's really a pretty easy cake to make, you do one bowl of dry ingredients and after mixing the wet ingredient bowl, you fold in the dry ingredients. I greased the cake pan with unsalted butter. Fresh ground allspice and nutmeg. The butter cream cheese frosting had a slight improvement over normal, it had us whip up some whip cream and fold it into the main bowl with the cream cheese and butter. Some great cake I'm telling youz guyz. So now we have plenty of carrot cake leftover to come home to after church tomorrow.

Anyway I slept until 8am which is very late for me. Decided to give PitBoss a bath. Started with the inside. Had to scrape a fair amount of rust off of the heat shield, cleaned out the wood pellet burn cup. Then gave the outside a good soaping and rinsing. It had gotten quite dusty. Also, we cover the heat shield with heavy foil mainly to help clean up. It keeps the shield from getting caked on with thick grease like the grates will.

Made a sausage and cheese appetizer plate.
Cleaned out an ice chest and went to Buccees to get ice. Small bag up to $1.50 now, used to be .99
BBQ'd about 20 hamburgers. Cooked them about 2 minutes too long, but not burned. They had that nice smoked ring like a good brisket gets.
Wifey made chai tea, and cut up some fruit.
I cut up some avocado and set out as many burger fixings as I could find. Even smoked a few pieces of thick bacon, and they were eaten too.

I like to make a burger with queso, guac or avocado, mayo and mustard, hot sauce, and sometimes some pickles.
I'll bet I washed 8 sinks full of dishes. Plus I put away leftovers. I tried to make things easy for the wifey unit.

Drew, I say ravens too.

Some great pics y'all, I love seeing them.

Prayers for our team, our nation, and the world.

Drinking fresh cup of coffee. 56° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with cloudy skies. Got out and sprayed Hornet Nest before sunlight yesterday. Checked it in the evening. No hornets present and nest is falling apart. Collected all the items for my plumbing project this week. Neighbor wanted to get his 55 gallon drum filled with off-road diesel. Went to local place that sells it. $3.09. I got another 10 gallons for my stock of fuel. Time on back porch was very relaxing. Pond maintenance today. Then will see waht show up on To-Do list.

Prayers and best wishes for all.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning,
Ct, 48 to start going to 67. Another beautiful fall day on tap.

Kind of glad it will be cool, I will be standing in front of a grill at the pumpkin festival all day for the FD. We cook hotdogs and hamburgers and when it’s a really hot day you are toast by the end 😉

Missing church today, that’s not good but I need to be at the FD by 6:30 this morning.

safe. If only we would do this in Chicago or SF
Ken, we loved SF but something needs to be done with the homeless situation there. Peeing on wooden park benches when they are slits not acceptable 😳 JMO
Congratulations Scott!!
THANKS Dennis 🙏
Congratulations Scott!
Thanks Paul 🙏
BIG congrats Scotty (y) no winter cabin fever for you now. ;)
Thanks Thomas 🙏
Congrats Scotty!
Thanks Steve, a good friend at the club gave me a demonstration of FT 8 yesterday morning. Will have to give it a try at some point 😉l

Well I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday 🙏

good Sunday morning all
cool morning, had to put the electric heat on in office.
after sun comes up, house heats up just fine and by late afternoon the a/c kicks on.
tis the season. Also shows how poorly insulated this cottage is...

Kyle, the best cake I ever made was a carrot cake, three boxes of mix plus lots of extra ground carrots and spices.
I've never known how to bake from scratch unfortunately.
RS is always making sheet cakes, bet he would have liked that carrot cake.

having lunch with Ken and wife today at Asian restaurant in New Hope. I looked at the menu and was overwhelmed by
so many choices. Nice that restaurant is ten minutes away.

got my car insurance renewal. Finally going to have to shop around. 1800 bucks for one six year old conservative car is just
too much. Think I will go see Erie and State Farm agents next week and get quotes for auto, homeowners and umbrella.

66 going to 76.

Wow, 112 cords!

Congrats Scotty...almost Aced it! 92 is great.

Kyle, what a great day you created for your wife. Sweet love.

Planted my winter wheat, oats, peas, etc mix but the surface had already mostly dried, so got pretty dusty packing it. Tilled a couple more food plots and planted them while still moist. I used new seed, but had some left over, so I overseeded with it, thinking some will germinate. I have 3 more plots to do. Got a surprise as I was putting the tractor away...my oldest son walked into the barn so we had a good visit looking over the plots and the very prolific persimmon tree.

L4N, just kidding, but 12 is still huge.

Good morning, the low is 44 and going to 72°F. Wind E 11 mph. 30% chance of rain.

On the seventh day He rested and that is exactly what I am going to do.

I have a couple of minor putter jobs to do, but nothing like Saturdays work.

I'm not totally positive yet but I think my grass cutting days are finished for this season. Tomorrow I will wash off the clippings and underneath, drain the fuel and put the mower to bed for the winter.

I finally got rid of the power washer that never worked for me. If I get another one it will be electric.

Amazing thing happened last night! I went to bed at 11 P.M. and got up at 6 A.M. I checked the bed and I didn't p in it. Normally I am up once or twice a night peeing.

Hot Italian sausage for supper with rabbit food (cabbage salad) for supper and Chapmans frozen yogurt for desert.
Tonight is ribs.

Time to get on with 'it'.

Have a safe day all

I do mine online most of the time. It seems like every 4-5 years I have to switch between Travelers and Liberty Mutual. The price just keeps increasing until a switch brings it down several hundred dollars a year. I like both of them as they are annual policies instead of 6 month ones.
