Good Morning Again,
This is turning into a bit of a project
When I put the original porch and deck on we drove the square headed acres in a bit too deep. Which is making the removal of the old decking a bear. And the square headed screws have some dirt in there to make it worse. This could take awhile 🥲

Nice scenic drive today.
the heat of summer. Well it’s time to get started 😉. Dennis, your welcome to come up to lend a hand 😉😃
If you had said that a couple weeks ago I would have taken you up on that offer. Might do a trip up that way soon, maybe next fall.

Good morning! Low of 52°, heading towards 80° again. Sunny.

I saw a report on the news last night that there is a group of teachers nationwide that are "teaching" other teachers how to teach their high school students about 9/11. --- some weren't even born, others too young to know.

Buppies, sorry to hear about Holy's fall. Prayers sent your way.

Yesterday's agenda has trickled over to today also... once on the tractor, I kept cutting more and more area... needless to say, the string trimmer had an additional rest period.... now I can concentrate on the trimming.
I can also move the RV, and get the backfill/ grading done (in the next couple of days).

Before I wake up the trimmer, have to troubleshoot a minisplit..... when we went to bed last night, Dona noticed the headboard was wet.... and our pillows. The minisplit was dripping condensation from the louvers..... not good...
Hopefully the drain line just got clogged a little and can be easily cleaned.... I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Need to get moving.....
Have a great day!

71°F and .42 inches rain

Dried out enough yesterday to get some more interior mowing. Hopefully this mowing I can attack an outside the fence section.

Very nice grilled salmon dinner at friends. John has one of the larger Kubotas, same as RNG I believe. Already more than 350 hours and it been here less than a year. Same one with tire problem a couple weeks ago.

H & F this afternoon with the Canadians.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I grow sage under my tomatoes and deer don't even look that way.

Clearly you’re not growing the varieties of tomatoes your deer prefer … ;)

Might I suggest Crimson Cushion, Trip L Crop, and Sunny Boys ?

Seriously though, I doubt the sage may be apropos of much.

Why yours aren’t getting touched could be for any number of reasons.

FWIW, I went out today and the deer netting on the south side was completely down.

Had planted the last zucchini (a late sprouter) right next to a rhubarb and the Russian sage about a month ago.

The zucchini was completely uprooted and pulled out of the ground.

It did have a fruit on it which hadn’t been chewed so grabbed that while I was watering.

Generally they tend to leave the summer squash alone … possibly due to all the spikes on the stems of the leaves.

70F and sunny @ 11:45, calling for a high of 79F for the day. Low this morning was 44.9F.

Looks like a beautiful stretch of weather coming up in the Ten Day, with highs in the low to mid 80's every day.

Would be totally awesome ... if it weren't for the fact that we are "abnormally dry" ... :(

I guess it still is ... just less than ideal.

Refilled hopper feeder first thing, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Got two 2 x 12's glued up and clamped.

12' round posts rotated and another section coated.

Watered eggplant and peppers after that, 32 oz each.

Took down a section of shelves in back and gathered up pots with dirt in them and brought them around front and got them emptied into a tote.

Decided to pull the plug on the tomatoes while there are still some left and picked all the green ones which will get put in brown paper bags to ripen.

Also picked several more handfuls of beans and about 1/2 dozen cucumbers.

Battery in van was low so hooked up charger and let it charge overnight. Need to check the state of charge, maybe clean up terminals. Unclear if battery is failing or just low due to repeated short trips.

Unsure what all on agenda for today but getting my ears lowered is high on the list.

Hope everyone here is having a decent Thursday ... (y)
