Good morning TBN!!
63 this morning and fog. Should be a sunny day after the fog burns off with high in the upper 70s.

Wasn't on here much yesterday so been catching up this morning.
Went to a small whole town garage sale so we left early for that. Lot's of neat things but didn't see anything that I couldn't live without, so ended up buying a couple of raffle tickets for HD bike to benefit children's home.
I did learn about an auction next Sat. close to my home. I will be there! Implement and a fully functional welding shop. Two of my current passions :) At the risk of attracting bidders that want what I want :) the auction is just South of Morganton. Farm equipment at 9 and welding shop at 10 across the street.
After getting home I managed to get my scrape blade on the cherry picker and lifted to my press to press the top link hook up to straighten it out. It's still hanging there so will clear it out today.
Other then that there isn't much on tap for the day

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

61 outside this Am, heading to mid 70's today. Cloudy, no rain yesterday, whiff, and no rain this AM. Bigger whiff.

Company coming in later.

Heart pounded once when I saw the winning city from PowerBall this AM. LOL. Too bad it was in Texas and not VA. Back to work tomorrow for sure. LOL.

Heal fast Ron.

Hope all have a good day of rest to start the work week tomorrow, Be safe.

Ron, glad no worse.
have to really be super careful on ladders; I usually don't go up more than half way on a step ladder.
so you get beaned, ouch.
you can kid this guy from now on you need to bring your hard hat with you... ;)

When my wife was working her and her department members would all buy group tickets every week for many years
My wife was the one who had to collect the money, drive & purchase tickets and then make photo copies (at home) for all involved
They never won anything to speak of……. All the time , money and gas wasted…

We always kid each other when are together. I am the supervisor and gofer. He is the worker. I have every step ladder from 3’ to 14’. He keeps saying he need a full set also. Biggest he has is 6’ in a 11’ ceiling barn. Hard hats are still sitting on the shelf as you enter barn.

Good morning! Low of 48°, heading towards 82°, sunny. Had a good t-storm last night which left just over a half inch of rain in the gauge. We really needed it, the monsoon season turned out to be another "nonsoon" .....
chances of more showers won't happen until later this week.

Good news ---- it's official: Dona is cancer free! Another follow up with the oncologist in 3 months, another scan in 6 months. WOO HOO!
She is now cleared to see the orthopedic folks for her back, already scheduled for next month. Hope they can come up with a fix/solution that's easy... her back has been getting worse.

I finished up with all the concrete work for the new garage about 2 weeks ago. Total of 20 yards..... kicked my butt for sure.... but hey, people pay to join a gym and workout.... I got it for free!
Did 3 sides of final grade last week, the RV is blocking access to grade the last side. I'm planning on moving it this week and finish the grading.

Had to put the garage project on that brief hold to get caught up with the normal outdoor stuff.... the weeds were 3-4' tall in spots. I have spent 2 days already.... and only halfway through. The worst thing about letting the weeds get out of control is the infestation of a plant that produces "goat heads"..... these tiny 1/8" razor spiked hard seeds that will penetrate the sores of your shoes! They are everywhere!

In between the "war on weeds", I started to rehab a trailer that I bought at an auction this past spring. It was set up as an equipment maintenance trailer with fuel tanks/pumps, air compressor, grease tub, and tool box. I was really just after the trailer.... all the rest was extra to be resold. Finally got around to removing all the equipment. I'm in process of rewiring new lights, new tires came in yesterday, waiting for breakaway brake controller to arrive tomorrow. Then will be set to pick up the next batch of materials for the garage (metal roof and purlins). A 'before' pic:

Hopefully I can start to assemble the giant erector set this week.

I'll try to take some pics of the concrete slab and the trailer work sometime this week. I'm recovering from a trip/fall on Friday. I was carrying an empty box out to the shop to cut up.... stumbled on the edge of a coiled garden hose, then onto the box, then to the ground.... spread out over a distance of about 10'..... was probably very comical looking....
I ended up with a few good scrapes, a bruised upper arm, and a pulled back muscle. I guess I don't bounce anymore......

I don't think I will ever get caught up on here....
I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning
62° and grey outside. Supposed to become partly cloudy with high in the middle 70’s. Between yesterday and overnight we got about 1/3” of rain.

Yesterday’s visit to the RC show was interesting. It’s hard to imagine what these guys put into their hobby, I bet this A10 has at least 30k in it. And that’s not counting the trailer to move it, or the truck that pulled the trailer. It’s about 10 feet long.

This F86 Sabre even had a motorized canopy that slid shut as it taxied out.

When I got home I started to make some tooling for the DI-Acro bender, but discovered that I didn’t have the material I needed (3” cold rolled round bar). I called a friend, and will pick up some cut offs from him tomorrow.

Met our daughter’s future in-laws and had dinner with them last night. They were nice, it went well overalll.

Today I’m off to Martha’s Vineyard to pick up some people. Rainy and dreary there, hopefully it will be clearing up here.

Morning all, 63 going to 73 and rain.

So yesterday I finally got to take wife on trip to Jim Thorpe PA.
She is a big fan of disney's haunted mansion and the Harry Packer one in JT was the inspiration.
Very touristy , but we had a good time. We may go back in a few weeks to ride one of the trains they have going through the countryside.

Wow Ron, heal fast, ladders, ladders.

LS that is fantastic news about Donna. Garden hose, I've had those moments before, good safety tip to flatten or wrap up.

Popgadet - I thought my uncles 13' wingspan biplane was pretty impressive, but those jets are impressive.

Be well,

Yeah for Dona! what wonderful news Ted.
great pics Ken

big shopping trip, got up to checker with coupon for 10 percent off if total over 120 bucks.
Says 116 on register. Sigh. Thankfully no one behind me so i scooted over to nearest aisle and bought a pound
of Peets coffee and that sure took me over.

going to make a crock pot this afternoon of a pork roast, with a ton of veggies thrown in with it and some andouille sausage
for flavor. That crock pot always gets filled to the top and then my tupperware gets a workout
