Good memory, Mostly. This stuff is so tall and thick have to cut before entering, hence backing. Add to that the unevenness of the terrain, you’d be driving into the unknown, likely tractor becoming unstable. Backing, I can ease in, get some visibility. My repaired stabilizer holding up very well.

As for cold, there were always below zero times, thankfully not too often.

Good morning,
4° now highs around 32° and sunny until late afternoon.
Winds WNW 10-15 mph.

I did manage to get some of the tax docs together and also figure out what’s missing. Also got the monthly Amazon delivery unpacked, put away and packaging loaded into truck for next dump run.

Not sure what today will bring, probably energy conservation.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe, healthy and warm
Prayers for all

Coffee has been poured in cup. 13° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 20° with continued cloudiness. Grocery shopping went good. Not many people at the stores. Roads were covered with snow. Cleaned walkways 2 times. Then got tractor out and cleaned my driveway. Got 1 hour on pin attachment project. In evening while looking out kitchen window saw neighbor was stuck off side of their drive. Got tractor out and got their car pull back too drive. Today plan to get some more work done on pin attachment.

Morning all!
Currently 5 above heading to a partly cloudy 29.
Good news from the insurance co. yesterday! They will give us a good fair amount for the car and added more for the new tires! I was told they will come take the car away this morning and we were told the check was already made out and sent while we were on the call. We need to mail the title for the car to them when we get a chance.
Leaking pipe was an easy fix for the plumber. I had him change out 15 or so feet to plastic. Slowly but surely it will all be converted. Wish I would have done that years ago when they first started leaking! We always put back copper.

Finished up a couple of projects in the shop finally. Will attach pics. Still playing with the box of burl cut offs I received. Also did my rendition of an "acorn box".
Coffee with my buddy tonight. Will crank on the heat in the garage before he shows up. 100,000 btu heater only takes 10 minutes to go from less than 40 to a comfortable 65.
Hopefully things will start melting next week. Driveway is icy with the wind driven drifts.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

this was kind of fun looking up
learned about an entirely new type of tool
I guess if I was maintaining a fleet of trucks having the pro model
would be good.
probably not a high demand item

most of us have the round chrome one that spins on the battery terminal

then the question is always what to clean the junk off with besides just plain water.
and where is that acid going as it runs down the inside of your engine compartment?....
lot of preventative sprays out there
why would a battery in one vehicle corrode a lot while one in another doesn't?

DeOxit is always good to have. I use that on electrical plugs and receptacles on my rv and generator.

not the kind of weather you want to be using this, unless you have a warm garage
my kingdom for a warm garage, and a lift

18 going to 38. Weatherman just said this January has been 8 degrees below normal...coldest in over 40 years. Snow/ice still hanging around in the shade since Jan 6...also, said we'll be able to see 6 planets tomorrow night, with 2 of them just a couple of degrees apart. Sodamo, is that what you pic was about?

Phil, you're quite an artist...good eye for how to use each piece. It makes me feel guilty burning old magnolia and cherry in the woodstove this week.

Got the tractor started in the cold temps yesterday...was sluggish like I was getting out of bed. Brought a pallet of firewood up to the porch and then went back into the woods to bring the last rounds to the splitter. Creek really frozen. Took Della for a long hike to the river...also frozen...nobody there...icy and 28F made it an interesting hike.

The 2 neighbors across street from me have tractors. But they are smaller than my B2910. First to try was a BX. It was able to tighten chain up. But not move car. The other tractor is a B2920. You would think it was as big as mine. Nope! Bigger than a BX. But considerably smaller and lighter than my tractor.
