I used to ride my bicycle on Blue Ridge Road past those salt mines. The only racetrack I knew about ws the one on S. Main - Meyer Speedway in the 60s.

Good evening all. 27ºF for the start, mostly clear, light breeze. light wind, sky stayed mostly clear, and high temp was 50ºF. Made coffee to start day. Help setup chapel, attend, and help tear down chapel, breakfast in town with group. On way home stopped at stepdaughter's church and attended church there. Then stepdaughter/hubby and I wen to Japanese/Chinese restaurant for lunch. Got snow off boat cover, but broke broom handle 
. watched some of the Bills/Broncos game. napped, watched some of the Eagles/Packer game, made meatballs for dinner. Cleaning ladies coming tomorrow have to finish prep and drive SUV into town to finish selling it.
Dennis sorry about up early and stomach upset.
NHBX glad snow didn't affect travel too much and good turn out for your sister's service. Good to hear Good sleep afterwards. Hope snow control went well.
Drew sorry up early, hope dizziness subsides. Glad you can deliver the car they want. Good luck with replacement search.

RNG glad CT scan found no leakage, high blood pressure easy enough to treat, not sure about irregular heartbeat. Hope he gets discharged soon.

25° now highs in the upper 30’s and mostly sunny today.
West wind around 5 mph. Nice big moon last night made snow all sparkly.
Quiet day yesterday, after dump run and a little snow cleanup mostly a feet up day.
Plans for today Wally World and groceries then conservation of energy.

First cup of coffee has been poured. 25° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 28° with cloudy skies this morning. While waiting for new box to arrive. I removed rubber edge off snow blade. Broke 2 bolts while getting bolts replaced. They have been on blade for 25 years. Drilled new hole and put edge back on. Job took longer than planned. Working on cold concrete floor. Got new larger junction box mounted and all wires pulled in to it. Hope to get it wire up today.

Good Morning from Central Texas. 40 degrees at 5am headed to the lower 50's with sun and wind. Not bad all in all.
The USAF continues to upgrade the B-52 Stratofortress (76 planned aircraft) to the B52-J models. The upgrades include new Rolls-Royce engines with greater fuel efficiency and a new AESA (active electronic scanned array) radar system. Also, included are new cockpit displays and communication gear. The upgrades are expected to keep the aircraft flying into the 2050's.

Starting to work on taxes and other legal/financial matters. I'm using the internet for a lot of research, but may need to get some professional help.
Took Della for a good hike to the river...she looked at the ice and shook her head....no swimming. But had fun on the snow. Last night she acted abnormal before bedtime. Then barked to go out at 2am...never has done that before. So took her for a moonlight walk. I guess she had an upset stomach...but no recliner to get into.
