Morning all, 51 going to 59 cloudy now, supposed to get sunny later.
Got a haircut and did some shopping.
Today - rearrange garage for winter use, move tractor, snow blower etc. Plow is already in place.

Fox was running through back yard and minbuck in the front yard. Neighbors dogs have plenty to bark at :)

Be well,

66°F and no rain

Bypassed the fuel filter housing on the LS and mowed about Hour and a half. Will give it a more extensive run today.

Got 2 of the new lights assembled, but only 1 installed Nice looking but substantially less metal than the old ones but look nice. Being led apparently I’ll be replacing whole unit vs just a bulb should it fail.

Nice time at Happy Hour. Someone commented how we always seem to excel at the food selections.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

Yup that is the paraffin soaked wood chips that I referred to. It works

Good Morning,
Ct, 40 to start going to 55 ! Rain has stopped but it still is overcast, so no chance of seeing anything going overhead last night !

Tonite is our FD Christmas Party for all our members! Looking forward to see how Texas Roadhouse food is tonite ! I used to stay late and belly up to the bar after dinner but not so much these days ! Don’t like feeling under the weather any more ! 😉

Ron, that is funny, and years ago it used to be the other way around! Before any one was comfortable using self checkout !😀

Kathleen has been after me to go get evaluated for hearing aids, I have been holding off but I might have to get them soon ! Hearing is getting worse ! 🥲
Too many years of shooting skeet and target practice !

Hope to get some outside time today with our above normal temps !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏
I prefer to use self checkout, because I can stack it in the cart in a way that I can put it in the car in the order I want. Also like to scan like items next to each other in case I want to divide the receipt when i enter in quicken. The downside of doing that, the scanner **** that watches you caught me arranging things like that, and interrogated me about buying things for someone else. (there was no one else with me). I'm considering ditching costco for Sams Club, but it is further down the road.

got some wall painting done in the bathroom. All I'm doing for now. I did hit a few other spots here and there, but I can't even tell where I did that, so if she doesn't find it, it's done.

wow, up to 54 deg now.

I preferred Sam’s Club for several reasons. It’s closer that Costco. Have 2 Costco. Both about 10 miles east and west from me. Sam’s is in the middle between them. Sam’s has Scan and Go. Sam’s has early morning shopping for Plus members. Sam’s gives your accumulated rewards monthly. Instead of having to wait until February of next year. Sam’s product line is close to Costco. I get free delivery from Sam’s. The Sam’s club I use gets just as crowded as Costco. But things seem to move smoother there.
Part of the reason people were lined up at self checkout. Is beyond about 4 people in line they cannot see registers. View is was blocked by stacks of product.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.3C and it's presently 18.8C, clear and fairly calm.

It's 'into town' day, first for a Veterans coffee gathering followed by grocery shopping. The arvo has a few tasks to tend to, including another wattle tree branch to be disposed of.
I wonder if Wagtail's rise and set times change too?
is he in the longest day period now?
Yes and yes. It's Summer down here although Tasmanian temperatures aren't as 'high/hot' as the mainland... however, 'our' UV rays are more intense.

That's about it, take care all.

We used to use Sam’s, then for a year had memberships at Sam’s and Costco. We are just about equidistant from either.
It was a no brainer at the end of the year. Costco was better for us in almost every way, especially for meat.
They always have whole packer briskets and pork shoulders, both high quality and excellent price. Their steaks and standing rib roasts are good as well.
They are about equal for having rude shoppers blocking the aisles with their carts and just being oblivious to what’s going on around them.
I’m pretty sure that not all stores are equal, but for me the nearest Sam’s isn’t as good as the nearest Costco.

I prefer Costco. There is no Sam's in town and Costco (15 minute drive) will service my hearing aids every 3-4 weeks free. We used to shop at Sam's when we were buying for the VFD fish fry serving 1200 people. We usually had to make two trips with the SUV completely full each time and that's not buying any of the food.
