Good morning TBN!!
45 this morning going to a balmy 68 but mostly clouds. I could live with that all winter!!
Okay day yesterday. Puttered in the garage most of the day.
Did have a bit of and adventure. Took the dog out to run on the 4 wheeler. Went through the woods that some beaver last year. Lot's of trees down back there. Tried to ease over a couple of fallen trees, but got hung up. I couldn't go back or forward and that 4 wheeler is too heavy for me to lift very much. Almost made it back out to the drive. Hike to get the tractor and cut my way in with the FEL. Lifted it up and towed it out to where I could ride. Took the tractor back and hiked back for the 4x4. Got it and parked it. Got me over 10k steps for the day. LOL
At least it was somewhat productive I guess.
Nothing special on the agenda unless I run to town.

Have a great and safe day!!

Good Morning! Rise 7:15 am - Set 5:12 pm. We get a little more daylight. 60˚ heading to the upper 70s. Might have to mow the yard in these warm temps. But first I need to take the tape off from around the epoxy on the stone tiles in the Shower and seal it.

The metal Christmas Star my Dad used on his house. I replaced the multicolor lights on the star after they shorted out with a tube of white lights.

Good morning, the low is 33 and going to a high of 34°F. Wind SW 15 gusting to 21 mph. Periods of light rain or snow.

Way back in the 1950s, I was raised 21 miles east of Toronto. In some winters we would see a 3' dump of snow overnight. The one storm I remember vividly, Dad paid the local contractor $20.oo to drag his car (1947 Plymouth) through the snow and then plow out the driveway, after he plowed our road. He had a Champion Grader with a 12' moldboard and a wing. He also had the big V plow on the front. He was the plow that did all the east-west township roads and got pulled off that run to cover for the truck plow that had broke down.

I think I will jump back down the rabbit hole again.

Have a safe day all

Morning all;
44F and soggy this morning supposed to get to 49F today. I didn't get my winter sander trailer moved before the ground thawed so that project is on hold for a couple of days. This soft ground would be easy to rut up and make a mess of.
Nice quite day today one appointment this afternoon and that's all that's scheduled today. Went online this morning and renewed my pickups registration as it expires in Jan.
Now to fix breakfast and another cup of coffee.

All take care, stay well or get well.

For what you all said, I dread the Costco run this time of year. But same can be said for any shopping.
I wrote up a Christmas memory, decided to post it later in my “Life on the farm” thread.
47°, warmed up overnight. I knew it when the geo wasn’t running, and it wasn’t freezing cold in the house. Pellet stove is running, maybe. I forgot to fill it before going to bad.

lost the writeup, disappeared somewhere....

Good Morning,
Ct, 40 to start going to 55 ! Rain has stopped but it still is overcast, so no chance of seeing anything going overhead last night !

Tonite is our FD Christmas Party for all our members! Looking forward to see how Texas Roadhouse food is tonite ! I used to stay late and belly up to the bar after dinner but not so much these days ! Don’t like feeling under the weather any more ! 😉

Wngsprd, the stupidest thing I saw was 20 people lined up to use self checkout
Ron, that is funny, and years ago it used to be the other way around! Before any one was comfortable using self checkout !😀

Kathleen has been after me to go get evaluated for hearing aids, I have been holding off but I might have to get them soon ! Hearing is getting worse ! 🥲
Too many years of shooting skeet and target practice !

Hope to get some outside time today with our above normal temps !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏

Good Morning.
46° and dreary, alleged to be 55 and sunny by this afternoon. Yesterday’s rain total was just under an inch. The pond is full, there’s puddles in the fields. The drought might be over.

I got some more chores done, hung up a coat rack, still need to get the driveway markers in and the snowplow on the tractor, just in case we get a plowable snow anytime soon. It’s been long enough since either the tractor or Lazer has run that I ought to put the battery minders on them and change the engine oils and filters to be ahead of the maintenance curve.

Today I’ve got to go help my buddy pull his well pump. It’s down over 500 feet and will not be fun. It’s on poly rather than sections of steel pipe, that’s a huge help. Trying to get a hold of an upsy daisy to pull it, as that’s gonna be real heavy to do by hand.

Before that gets started, it’s breakfast with the professor. The RAV4 needed tie rod ends for inspection, that’s should be done today, hopefully I’ll be able to go pick it up. Not sure what else might fit into the day.

Last night at the oddfellows meeting, I suggested that rather than the lodge paying for our holiday dinner, we pay our own way. That was not too well received until I suggested the lodge make an equivalent donation to local food pantry’s and feed people that need it. Happily that passed unanimously.

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 6:15AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High 68F. Winds NNE at 15 to 25 mph.
No rain in the 10-day, cloudy for Christmas.

Sat on my duff almost all day yesterday doing paperwork of one kind or another. Spent some time chasing down Christmas lights at the end of the day with only limited success. Found one box with two strings, but one of them was intermittent, while the one string I was really hoping to find, the one with little motorcycles over the lamps, remains missing. Installed hooks around the entry way arch, and more to hold up an extension cord, and used an in line smart switch to hook up power to the one string, set to come on for four hours at sunset. And that constitutes the sum total of my Christmas decorating.

Got a buddy a baseball hat that was supposed to have a matrix of programmable LEDs on the front that could be configured by an app on a smart phone. Only the one that showed up only responded to very loud noises instead. Like indoor concert type loud. The Amazon seller agreed to a refund, but I would have had to pay return shipping, nearly as much as the hat cost. Got an Amazon support person on the line, who issued a refund and told me to keep the hat. Too late to get the correct hat in time for Christmas, so he gets a stocking hat with an LED flashlight on it instead. Haven't made up my mind if I'll give him just one hat or both of 'em.

Not sure what I'll get into today; it's an opportunity rich environment...
