Good morning!!!!

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 11.1C and it's presently 19.5C, mostly overcast with sporadic rain & somewhat calm. There was 13.5mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Yesterday's rain meant doing a couple of alternative tasks. Mainly into town to send off the 'driver medical' at the TasServices office and then over to the PO to mail some wool socks to my Sister and my Aunt who live in Canada. Just some surprise presents for them.

I'll see how the weather holds up this arvo as to continuing any wood stacking out at the woodshed. It depends on just how 'wet' the wood got with the 13.5mm of rain.

Mind you, Sunday is predicted to be very wet.

That's about it, take care all.

Want to get there right when they open at 10am to beat the crowd.
or perhaps to join it.

Don’t think it will be very busy this time of year. Some nice stuff there.

RNG, it all hinged on whether or not they would accept my 2 foot driving. I explained to the girl that with a manual transmission I used the right foot for the throttle and brake and the left foot for the clutch, but with an automatic I used the left foot on the brake. Due to the fact that most of the older cars I had driven would barely run in gear if you had your right foot on the brake. So I would hold the brakes and give them a few revs with my right foot.
She said that as long as I wasn't pressing both the gas and brake at the same time that it was okay. They only took me on a one hour tour, unlike my friend who they took on a three hour tour. None of the tour was right downtown Barrie, which can be a bear at the best of times. I didn't tell them that I used to live about 20 miles west of Barrie near RCAF Base Borden. They didn't need to know that I knew Barrie almost as good as they did. In fact I played dumb in that respect and made it sound like they had gotten me lost.
It will take about 2 weeks for their report to get to me and an additional 2 weeks for the MTO to make a decision based on their recommendation that I was okay to drive and the stroke had zero effect on my driving abilities.
My sick benefits ran out this week. Tuesdays check ($1242.oo/2weeks) will be the last one unless I can get the quack to sign off that I am fit enough to go to work. IF he does then I will go on regular benefits until probably May. I didn't take the money because I needed it, I took it because I paid into it and hadn't collected any unemployment benefits in 4 years.
I can live on the 2 goobermint pensions, Canada Pension Plan & Old Age Security. (CPP & OAS) plus the RRSP which was converted into a RLIF (Registered Life Income Fund). I also rely on my income tax rebate to pay ahead the winter heat, both wood AND oil. I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but I can keep the wolf away from the door and now with no car payment, that will be a little easier.

Good Evening Ron,

Ron, I was kind of thinking of putting the squirrel in a cage with a wheel and some treats out of reach. You might get some electricity generated ! Of course that’s not helping the leaf situation ! 😉😀
If you used the squirrel power to run a electric vacuum cleaner with the hoses on backwards, then it could blow the leaves away. ;)
Squirrels are a fine meal.
But it takes soooo many of them to make a meal. Their legs are oh so tiny. Kinda like eating chipmunks.

Mostly, Its hunting season. Turkeys are staying in their best hiding place. Sandhill Cranes have been only showing up 1 time a week. I can hear them at neighbors place. They must be putting out better food than me.

Everyone stay well and safe.
