it really was strange, I've never seen it handled like that. Like they poured two two foot wide swaths of some covering, concrete I'm sure, that was very smooth. Never saw a road like that, but PennDot in my area is so poor I won't criticize anyone else's roads.Drew-- This is the first repair job I remember where they sawcut only the rutted part out and poured new concrete. So there are strips of concrete miles long. Before, they would re-do the entire road surface instead of just strips. Maybe a budget thing?
overall not impressed with California roads. Not very smooth, and I was driving with both hands on the wheel for hours on end. By the time I got here I was buzzing and tired. Like driving the Blue Route in Philadelphia.
though I think the PA drivers are more aggressive and worse.
saw a lot of Teslas whizzing by today
what a lot of curves this morning coming up and down the mountains.
I only saw farming once, some very nice looking corn, must have been at very top of Valley. And once into California there started being trees on the mountains again. Which clearly like to burn.........
water pressure here is poor but I'll just use my DC pump which makes twice as much pressure. And...I think the Dc pump might be sucking the water out of the campground water now that the backflow preventer is missing.
I'm going to take a long shower and avail myself of everything this place has, which isn't much. And 105 a night. Most expensive place on this whole trip. Only game around, zero competition. Only one close enough for my sister to drive to.
what is so nice is knowing I don't have to move a thing in this rv for six days. My sister brought me all this high end salad stuff, went for the pickled beets first. I asked her for some chopped fruit, well that got me two containers plus six more containers of whatever she thought was healthy and that I would eat. She knows not to bring me sprouts...
going to rest a bit and then see if drone will fly here.
might be a seriously restricted area
