young tech tells me to be careful when opening the inspection port as 120 psi pressure is there.
I asked him how that was possible when well pump is maxxed at 55psi.
that's the way they are designed.

ok, but ?
are we bending the laws of physics?
this is not a precharged tank, it only gets what the well pump sends out.

The 3 cylinder Perkins diesel engine is actually a good engine. The hour meter was stuck when I picked it up at 8000 hours.
The cylinder sleeves are replaceable by driving them out from the bottom which is what I did. It was not that worn out as I have seen with top wear rings in the cylinder bores on some engines. Also rebuilt the top end and replaced the bearing caps since the crank was within specs amazingly enough. It leaks as all old British engines do. Changed the crank seal but still leaks oil into the clutch housing. Changed the clutch which is a double clutch for PTO and tractor depending how far you press on it. Lining up to mate it back together requires the clutch plates to be centered very accurately. At 50 hp it is handy for most tasks and power steering helps to maneuver it. It can idle very slowly at about 600 rpm if I want sounding very cool and it has lots of torque at low RPMs

Did not change the ring gear on the flywheel which was a mistake since there is a bad spot where the starter will not engage. So if it lines up with the starter it will not engage and I have to turn the engine with a crow bar to another spot. But I am not about to split the engine again!!! it is what it is. The hydraulic system is built into the loader frame with parts of it holding the hydraulic fluid and the pump is located in front of the engine driven by a shaft to the front crank pulley.

Splitting the tractor to make repairs is a major undertaking with pulleys, hoist, chain falls all over the place

It has the PH digger mounted on the 3 point but thinking about getting a forester winch for it and dedicate it to that when time comes for taking trees down

Made some brekky. Simply buttered toast, cucumber and tomato with salt and liberal pepper.
Mug of hot tea sweetened with raspberry syrup.
Took it out on the deck to watch the birds in the sunflower block.
First bite cracked a tooth. Piece about the size of a small grain of rice broke off.
On toast!😖 No bone, hard nut, toffee...
SOB!
No pain but I can taste a little blood.
Good morning not!
I see the dentist tomorrow.🥹

I think I'm in one of those moods.... I don't HAVE to do it, so I won't.....
Except for running the drip. That will get done.
get in those moods once in awhile myself. Especially when it gets really hot.

Today is really nice here. I got the lawn all mowed. Must have forgot to put gas in mower last time, as it took a 5 gal can before I started.
I forgot neighbors had another popular tree on other side of house, it got cut also. When I came in for lunch at 2 pm they were grinding the first stump. Tree was probably close to 24" at the base.

Dennis, isn't that always the case? Decisions based at the time seem to be the best option, then years later when it's impossible to change.....

Can't tell you how many times I wish that I could change from the initial "good decision " that I made....
I placed my house before the neighbor placed his. We both built at same time. I knew I wanted a garage on that side and planned for it, but a little more space would have been nice. there were many decisions I had to make when building, that I didn't have time to wait. Ship or get off the pot was a common phrase, right or wrong I had to make a decision and keep going. But it worked out, more about preferences.
Now that the little pine is gone near the garage, I can eyeball a straight line from the next corner pin, and I've probably been mowing a hair more on his side. But we get along good.

Frits,
my 49hp Massey 2615 had a 2.7L 3 cylinder Perkins clone licensed in India to Simpson.
I bet it's the same basic engine.
it made a wonderfully noisy diesel clatter

I finished mowing the lawn and realized that was it for the year since lawn crew will do
next two months. So had to clean up mower to put it away, powerwashed it, then blew dry carefully with
leaf blower, treated all the plastic with protectant, put a slug of Sea Foam in the tank and filled it to the rim.
nighty night

Drew, Nice looking tractor.
thanks.
that was the one sitting near the front door of Mitchell Kubota in Washington NC.
Traded in by an older fellow who used it for mowing and traded it on a cab Kubota.
summers get mighty hot in NC....
And there with 135 hours was this incredibly shiny red tractor
it batted its proverbial eyelashes at me and I was hooked
for 16k it seemed like good value for basically a new tractor

I was getting frustrated with hooking up equipment due to arthritis in my hands, so was thinking
how nice it would be to have another.
completely manual tractor, though had light power steering.

did not have a scratch on it when I bought it
gave it to local dealer to sell on consignment, he put it out front and sure enough
a fish took the hook the next day.

that red is simply awesome, Ferrari red
