Don, I wonder if a leaf blower would help

After I ran the drill brush through (on each side) I put the shop vac on it to suck out any loose lint then I blew it out with the leaf blower.

David, some alternators have a clutch where the pulley is mounted on. When it fails it will make the belts squeal on startup. I had that happen on the MB V6 diesel and it eventually failed and tore up the belts and did damage. You may want to check that out

I can vouch for the Dell refurbs. I bought the one I'm typing on now back in November. Dell 5411, 16GB, 512GB SSD, ~$300. Had a few scratches and the battery is only 84% health according to Belarc.
But before my other 8GB, 1TB nonSSD took about 5 minutes to boot, this boots in about 30 seconds or less.
/edit - and that 5 minutes was on a GOOD day.

63F, overcast, and damp out @ 12:30, calling for a high of 71F for the day. Some lingering showers in the NEO area.

Got meds doled out first then yesterday morning.

Then got all the mowing done down here around the house.

Mixed up some seed and put it out for the ground feeders, tube feeders will need refilled today. They also need relocated, squirrels have figured out how to get to them by climbing up on the old cedar stump and jumping over.

Bluebirds back at Nest Box No. 2, will check it to see if they have laid another batch of eggs. Maybe put out some mealworms for them.

Checked the one remaining tire on the rolling seat that was loosing air, and it's happening pretty quickly ... so will head up to Menards in Kent in a bit to pick up 2 foam-filled tires/wheels and be done with messing around with it.

They supposedly have black mulch in stock, so will try to pick that up as well.

Drilled five 1/4" holes in the little tray on the rolling cart so it will self-drain if it gets left out in the rain.

Took both the pneumatic tires off and moved them up to the shop for the upcoming bearing swap, along with some other junk including the oil drain pan and got that emptied into the 55 gallon waste oil drum.

Located the small pan that will be used to heat up the seal that needs to be heated to install on lift cylinder piston while I was up there.

Woman continued cleaning up around the outside of the shop, sprayed several gallons of glyphosate, and I reloaded the sprayers for Her several times.

Ran over one of the short t-posts with a wire cup brush in the grinder then got it primed. Also got about 1/2 the topcoat applied (one side)

Moved the one arched trellis up so the bottom is about 1' off the ground and reattached it to the t-posts. (Gives the plants more room to grow) Will do the other one when I get the t-posts for it repainted.

Planted 1 Hot Lemon pepper and 1 Habanero yesterday to see how they would fare overnight with the critters. Looks like they came through the night undisturbed ...

Trimmed some seed heads off the rhubarb, it is doing very well:

Probably will relocate that to an unfenced area this fall since the critters leave it alone.

Woman just went around back to release a bird that had somehow managed to get inside the netting over the strawberries.

She made shortcake from scratch a few days ago to go with the strawberries She harvested, was delicious.

Burning daylight, need to get moving ...

Trip to Menards successfully completed.

Got the foam-filled tires/wheels, also picked another can of Rustoleum Rusty Metal primer (12 oz can - on closeout) and a 18" Libman stiff bristle push broom (on sale) for use outside ... plus the 30 bags of mulch (was on sale when I originally ordered it) that the Massillon Menards was out of.

Noticed the Meijers up there had the cheapest diesel prices that I've seen in a long time (53 cents cheaper than the cheap station in The Lakes) so I hit that and filled up the tank in the van. Might be enough to last most of the summer ...

Got the mail on the way back in and then stopped at the shop and swapped out the bearings from the old wheels onto the new ones.

Started a little fire while I was up there to take the chill off.

Installed new tires/wheels on the rolling cart when I came down to the house and got the bearings lubed up plus greased the adjustment screw on the seat.

Speaking of which, can anyone speak to how well those Lock-N-Lube couplers seal on the grease fittings ?

While I like the new Lincoln grease gun I bought (last summer ?) the coupler don't seal worth a crap.

Plus got the one sprayer topped off with glyphosate and the other one about half-filled.

Woman now off to the Indian place to pick up dinner.

She went over to let the neighbor's dogs out while I was gone and that turned into a fiasco (has a couple of new dogs and the little male is a PITA)

Plan is to head up to the shop and finish up the lift cylinder rebuild after dinner.

Still cloudy here but I think the rain is over ... is supposed to be very nice tomorrow ...

Was just using the grease gun which doesn't seal well on the fittings and is loaded with green Lucas grease ... so yeah ... green thumb and fingers ...

Was productive day...grass trim under all spruce trees also front field,front and side field mow plus long banks on small stream trim tomorrow more trimming and mowing.
Small streams dry up brooks running low rain coming Wednesday least until Friday.

Time head out on the deck with smooth cigar and bottle ice water see what critter shows up.

Somewhat ironically, there's a drive-in fairly up the road a bit from where that happened.

It's name is/was "The Corral"

Their signature burger was a large (like 8" wide) burger called ... (wait for it) ... The Nitemare ...

Yeah ... I've driven through that general area plenty in my life ... and at night.

But I wouldn't make it practice to hang out there ... especially off the main drags.
