good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly. . .)

27.1F going to low 50s, afternoon precip forecasted.

Tood dogs to woodlot for walks instead of working on wood, lousy weather forecast for a couple days meant trying to get them out before another bout of cabin fever. Then we went to the town Tree lighting festivities, had dinner out, did the bourse carriage ride (one block down and back 😂), then came home and warmed up in the hot tub.

May run up after church to try to get some more wood split, even if we just stack it there on pallets for the time being.

foind this on Twitter, not bad for newbies:

i hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

stay warm Buppies

I had to chuckle at this sign. It's a reprint of what they hand out to you, in three full pages of rules and regulations.
I just want to know who will stand in front of this sign and read all
39 some rules

I wonder if an e bike falls into category of motorized bicycles...I think this sign was made long before e bikes

rain started early, can hear it on the roof
time for more coffee
It is almost as bad as the signs on some interstates that list all the driving regulations — but there is nowhere to pull over to stop and actually read them.

but the Gummint posted them within view so you have been made fully aware…

as the family historian Thomas, I traced my Father's side back as far as I could.
My parents died early so never had the adult to adult talk you hope you can get to.

yes, remember family histories.
in my case, I shocked the entire family by tracing the path of about ten family members in 1942 who were herded into cattle cars near Brody Ukraine and hauled off to Belzec, where two days later they were no more.

Never Forget.
an earlier gen's even larger 9/11...

this world needs to be a kinder and gentler place.

Goods Morning Guys,
Vt, 24 to start going to maybe 40 !

Bad start to the day, Kathleen has been sick for the better part of two weeks, and this morning woke up with conjunctivitus sp?, pink eye that she got from one of the grand kids ! Looks like a trip over to Rutland ED this morning !

Dennis, sorry to see the family farm slip away ! I would have loved to have gotten my grand parents farm in the catskills, but I was much too young at the point that it went up for sale !

David, sorry to hear about your glasses, especially with todays prices !

nothing like having a beer while a lion chews on your pants...
Drew, as always, another classic, almost lost some coffee on my computer ! Thanks for a little humor there !

Sounds like some rain snow mix coming in later, sounds like the real snow will be a little north of us. We are at 1200 ft here so not enough elevation to get any appreciable amount !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day !

little too much foam for me Frits, but then I'm not much of a beer drinker. About one inch of foam looks right.
I'm sure there are other opinions?? ;)

if that was the "perfect beer" my apologies. Too much foam in my nose and beard.

Way too much head on that beer for my liking. 1/4" is plenty.

Low 26 and high to 37F. Wind SW 9 gusting to 17 mph. Partly cloudy.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
26 and overcast, high of 45 with rain later today.

Yesterday was a bit of a slow day, didn’t get to move the airplane, my ride to Ocean City (my son) was sick. A cold that my grandson picked up in school and generously shared with his parents and grandmother. So far I’ve dodged the bullet.

I puttered around in the shop, had wife and Zoe there for company while housecleaners did their thing. Zoe is a bit overwhelming for them.
I got the oil and filter changed on the Lazer Z, I need to change the hydraulic oil in the tractor (15 gallons of it), but lacked the ambition to do it yesterday.

Wife created an interesting challenge for me by dropping an iPad with the lightning charging cable plugged in. It broke the connector off in the iPad recessed inside so there was nothing to grab. After studying it for a bit, I decided to try and drill into the broken connector with a number 65 drill and press a piece of .035 piano wire into the hole. I applied CA adhesive to the wire prior to pushing it in. Let it cure for a while, and pulled it right out. (The broken connector, not the wire).

Picked up a Milwaukee heated jacket that might prove to be my most used cordless tool, but we will see.

Today, I’ve got to go to Columbia, SC to drop a couple of people off, figures that after a couple of weeks of nice weather and being home, I’ve got to fly in the yuck. I guess I should be glad that I had a couple of weeks of nice weather when I didn’t have to go anywhere.

32 going to 43. NWS says rain, but the local weather lady says no. We'll see.

BEF, tough loss on the farm and great workmanship on that building. Glad you were able to say goodbye. Hope it stays a farm and not developed.

Had a real nice anniversary day trip...had lunch at a place we really liked, and strolled around the town into the shops. I was mostly studying the old buildings' designs while my looked over some interesting things...then off to a winery and then a cidery on the slopes of the mountain. Drove home in the dark and saw some beautiful Christmas light displays...one house could probably be seen from outer space. 😁
