Good Morning
51 which is going to be the high for today, cloudy, but no rain.

Yesterday’s trip to Palm Beach was nice, my partner was the copilot going down, he flew home. It’s always fun when we fly together. We had one passenger, a very nice lady that came up to the cockpit to offer us some home made biscotti, which was excellent. I didn’t get home until dark, so not much got done except collecting the trash and recycling and getting it to the street.

Today, I’m going out with my mechanical contractor buddy to repair a geothermal heat pump. Not sure what we will get into next, but I still have hay to move.

Good Morning Everyone,

Been a really busy 5 weeks, have tried to keep up with everything..
My sister got the call last night and is now at Duke at 10:00 PM, hopefully this weekend they will start on her liver transplant..Tests being done for compaitability.. fingers crossed..Will go stay with my mom this weekend, so she want worry as much about her..My sisters son & daughter will keep us notified.. Prayer or two would be great..

Good morning! Low of 29°, light snow still falling. Only a dusting right now. The guessers predict maybe 1-3".

Of course, this comes on the morning that I have to go down to the 'big city'.... don't have to leave until 10 am, so maybe it will be over by then....

Drew, I'll chime in and agree with the consensus---- cross threaded fitting. Hopefully an easy fix.

Flooring is now complete in the little addition. Going to the sawmill tomorrow morning so hopefully I can mill some trim this weekend.

Wifey is getting excited (this will be her sewing room) and had to unroll her new area rug already..... (if I know what's good for me, I'll make sure the trim gets done expeditiously).

All in all, the project went very well. Only one 'major' screw up ---- when I was determining the floor height (measuring from existing bottom of floor joists), I forgot to include the 3/4" subfloor. Had to double up the floor deck to level it to the existing floor. Easy fix at least....

Only thing that "I'm" not happy with is the use of laminate floor in there.... the rest of the house is all white oak T&G flooring. Wifey wanted the laminate because of the ease of install and cost. I guess a plus will be the durability in a "craft room".

She likes it, so that's all that matters. It's very close in color to the real wood floor.

New ceiling fan in the bedroom, old one got moved to the addition.


Still snowing.... pellet stove purring.... all is good.

Another good day mowing yesterday. Far Hilo section finished and a good start on the interior sections. Let’s see what I get to today.

Nice relaxing dinner with friends. Salmon overcooked slightly, but still delicious. Should have maybe cut the apple pie pieces smaller
