Thanks guys.
Very nice dinner with wife.

Not so good on the scag though. Wire proved easy, but apparently a problem downline, starter doesn’t crank at all. No clues as to way to diagnose. Scag pretty tight with that info I guess. Ido hear a click in vicinity of the electric module, but no clue if that’s normal. Tomorrow.
How many safety switches does it have? Seat? PTO? Clutch? check them all.
Is the solenoid the problem, Sometimes the solenoid is good, and you can jump it, but all the safety checks inline have a fault.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 7:00AM. Partly cloudy skies. High 76F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.
Looks like the storm has moved off to the east and there's no more rain in the 10-day. Sorry, Ted, but it looks like it'll pass you to the north.

Good to learn you're adapting to the new Prius, Paul. Does the adaptive cruise misbehave when the road curves and it senses barriers off the shoulder, like the one in my '23 Camry does?

Nothing like having the right tool for the job, especially if it's run for you by a friend. Right Kyle?

Spent most of yesterday tolling the damage caused by the previous night's lightning strikes. So far a network switch or two, the radio and charge controller on the gate opener, and possibly several security cameras appear to be victims. I'll have to take the cameras down today and try them with another Power Over Ethernet switch to see if they're bad.

Grid power was down until late in the day yesterday, never did hear what the problem was. It's reading 250 VAC this morning, so at least I'll be able to pump water today.

Still managed to get the carbs and exhaust back on the red bike, but need an air filter to finish the job. My buddy from the motorcycle shop will be here tomorrow to help with the Vanagon harness installation, and he might bring a filter if he has one in stock.

Time for me to refocus my attention to the other red bike, a road going version of the one I just finished called an R80ST. Just have to install a rebuilt speedometer and I think the side covers on it, for now. It also needs a lot of other work, but that'll have to wait until after the move.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Happy birthday PopG!
Nice easy date to remember.

Started off at 63 now 80 heading to 90s. Knee is a little better today can put weight on it so don’t need the 3 wheel rollator, aka walker today or cane.

Check, I’ll keep you updated on my recovery after knee surgery at the end of this month.

I’m starting to see a correlation between how much knee use equals how much down time.

Kyle last week my wife mowed the yard I edged and trimmed (one of my good days) but I was put on notice to hire one of the many companies that mow in our neighborhood. About 75% of the neighbors have a lawn mowing crew do their yard.

Good morning! Low of 50°, heading to 78°. A 20% chance of a storm. High temps cool off this week, highs dropping into the 60's. Low temps forecasted to drop into the upper 30's by mid week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! To Paul (PopG). Hope for many more!

Check, I am the one of the few with an unsuccessful replacement. Long story: 3 injuries within 45 days, followed by a successful meniscectomy. Was doing well with rehab, went back to work on light duty. Then had another injury at work, 2nd meniscectomy. Never recovered from this one, went to bone on bone in 6 months. Then had the replacement..... rehab started ok, then went downhill, causing more issues than helping.

The replacement was done 2 1/2 years ago. I was recently diagnosed with a condition called CRPS. It can occur in 20-25% of knee replacements, usually associated with multiple trauma injuries. No definitive treatment, possible improvement over years......

Don can give you a better understanding of how a successful replacement works.

We did get a brief shower overnight, just enough to dampen everything. No reading in the gauge.....

Hit or miss on work on the addition.... depends on the weather. Plenty of 'prep' stuff to do....

Everyone have a great day!

Morning, 68 going to 79, summer is back and sun is out.
Off to a wine tasting after dropping son at a party.
Then it's time to take in the pool furniture.

Got two panels up, one with a windows cut out, slow but steady.

Happy anniversary Sodamo

Happy birthday Popgadget - hope you have a great day and year

Scotty gk look so happy :)

Philly pretzels have milk, so none for me :-(

Be well,

After cutout, easier to cut the 5/8 with the saw than trim with the blade

Note mess that I need to get through with a 70 pound panel, and this is after I moved quite a bit of stuff.

speaking of brisket...
looks like some of life's adventures are still to come for me
I've never been to a Buc-ees.
that will be a must on my big trip West.
good article on why they have been so successful:

got the garden cleaned out and blackberries trimmed, two cartloads to the woods.
bee beat me to my best blackberry but I scored another two. Perfectly ripe, like sweet wine
plant grows like a weed, constantly hacking it back and will for the winter.

and a nice load of peppers. Was going to give them away but...
time to fire up my as seen on tv vegimatic and chop them up and then freeze them for later.
Will mix with the fresh corn I froze, should make a great winter veggie. I figure the chopped poblanos will give me plenty
of heat, I can't do hot peppers.

that was a lot of bending over. Need a break before tackling the mowers.

70°F and .02 inches rain

Maybe watch some football today, but will be chasing my tail at the Scag, hoping to find the elusive problem. Guessing that will mean following every Google/ YouTube hint. So far it seems a lot of guys have bought a lot of replacement parts without really knowing. Apparently a common problem.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

And late Good Morning to all, this afternoon;
Well went out about 11AM to start mowing lawn, quit about 1:30PM did the large 1/2-2/3s of the lawn. Much of it still soaking wet from the dew so wet that water was running off the tires. Some of it didn't mow well from being so wet and my blades being a bit dull. But every time I sharpen them they just find more stones and roots to get dulled on.

The leaves are starting to really fall and changing color rapidly, Fall is here now but it sounds like Summer temps are back this coming week. Nice now low to mid 70's, calling for 80's for part of next week.

Stay safe and get well to all.
Lou
