Good Morning
68 with a high of 75 today under partly cloudy, but dry skies.
Yesterday was hot and steamy, quite oppressive to work outside. Trip to Martha’s Vineyard went OK , had to cross a bit of weather going and coming, but no real issue. It might have been hot on the surface, but it drops about 3-1/2 degrees for every thousand foot of altitude.
The windshield is heated or it would have been covered. It seems counter intuitive, but we get more ice in the summer than we do in the winter because the humidity is so much higher.
Did a Chick-Fila drive through on the way home, rounded up the grandson and we moved hay, grain and bales of wood shavings into the barn. A friend came by later with a model that he wanted to convert to electric, I made him some parts to mount the motor.
Grilled a burger for dinner outside as we watched the storm approach on radar. It brought just under an inch of rain, and peak winds under 30 knots, but left a lot of debris in the lane. I was surprised to see this going around the last bend.
It’s the top of a tree that broke off about 20 feet up.
So I guess I’m about to go put the grapple on the tractor and get out the chainsaws. I’ll bring both the Stihl and Makita to the party, not sure which will be the wallflower.
Hopefully I’ll get it cleaned up in time for breakfast with the professor.
After that we need a Costco run, and then I’ll see what else pops up.
