Good morning!!!!

2Bit- I love the picture. Reminds me of the old B&W SciFi Movie “The Beginning of the End.” One of my favorites.

Drew- I am happy to read about the quality time you had with RS and his Wife.

RonJH- For all my bird pictures have few pictures of Robins and the ones that I do have honestly suck.

Thomas- Our lower field is covered with wild strawberries. I have seen them green, but never tasted one.

This hazy, hot, and humid weather has been "draining" me this year.

Since I posted last. The surprise visit from my Sister and Niece went really well. I was "Mind Numb" after looking at the 100's of pictures they took and shared. My Sister always wanted to visit Italy and my Niece, who received an art history/business major and graduated this year from college had the experience of a lifetime. She actually has an entry-level job and has a somewhat realistic longterm goal of being a curator in some museum. My Wife and I suspect our generous check for graduation/grad school financed this trip. Oh Well.

My Wife does indeed have a non displaced fractured wrist and will be wearing an immobilizer for the next 4 weeks. She is not a happy camper. My Wife and I had dinner with friends last night. My Wife has not been there since the C-19 craziness began. She is a really good cook. She planned on grilling a shish kabob dinner but the rain and T-storms prevented that so She went to Backup plan B which was thawed shrimp, sautéed and mixed with a really decent/interesting cream sauce. Her appetizers were really good and her dessert ice cream dish with a bourbon-cherry sauce was awesome. My Wife did not show it, but she did have a good time as I.

All this ongoing HHH weather has kept me mostly indoors, but I did have an opportunity to capture these pics this morning.

68°F and .31 inches rain.

Day looking more favorable to mowing. Hope so. Each additional day of growth just adds.

Nice dinner with friends.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

in safe and sound in Ronks Pa, just outside of Lancaster.
oh my what a long drive...twice got stuck in downpours, in the mountains, in construction, but just went slow and made it. More rain predicted here, flood warnings all over.

and on my last day on the road, it happened.
The slide jammed while trying to put it out here.
I fiddled with it, but it's getting hung up somewhere so I carefully retracted it so I can drive home. Will get that fixed when I get home, and not by me.

friends who live here and own Lancaster Honda (motorcycles) are coming over in a few hours to pick me up and take me back to their home. Haven't seen them in ten years, will be great. Have known each other since our teens.

fast internet here in the land of horse and buggy.

heating pad on neck, going to try to take a nap

looked at map, three closest towns are Bird in Hand, Intercourse and Paradise

Good morning! 78˚F heading to 100˚, plenty of blinding sun and no rain. Rain total for June was .67" and nothing in July.

Weekend driving to reunion and to 106 birthday party totaled 11 hours. Too much sitting.

3 consecutive days of using 95% of water supply will trigger our town's next stage of water restrictions, which includes no lawn watering or car washing, so far only one day @ 95% but other days are 93% & 94%.
I feel your pain in Lexington. Grass about burnt up. Hauled (12) to the barn yesterday. Prices were still pretty good (2.12 -2.22) steers in the 550-600 range, higher if heavier. Looks like another brutal week. :-(

Good afternoon
70 and not going to change for today.
Raining, but thunderstorms have missed me as they pass by. Got about 1/2” of rain in about one 10 minute shower though.

That makes for an inside day today. I had hoped to be able to go to the RC club field, but that’s a rainout.

Spent more time than I should have sorting out an FTP issue with a website. The Davis weather station reports to a computer in the house which uses the data to build an html page which it uploads to my website every 15 minutes as well as weather underground. My site just stopped updating as the new page doesn’t load. Weather underground is getting the updated weather, so the issue is with the transfer to my site.
At any rate, it still doesn’t work.

Out to lunch now, after walking with Zoe in the rain. She doesn’t seem to care, but she as hair on her head and doesn’t wear glasses.

When I get home, I think tinkering in the shop will win out over online TSA training…….

Drew ebrake on??
yes, if it wasn't the circuit would not activate at all. thanks
no, it's a common issue, goes out about a foot and then gets hung up, one side gets out of alignment with the others.
When I get home I'll fiddle with it, if it gets stuck out here, I can't drive home without a repair.
this is a Schinwek slide and they have a terrible reputation. Same slide mechanism that broke on my first rv

85/95 out now, wind picking up, should be a stormy afternoon.

Good afternoon, 78 and the thunderstorm is rolling in now. Flood watch in effect

Just made it in in time after stacking some wood.

Temporary leak repair is holding just fine. Will call plumber tomorrow. At least it is not an emergency repair.

Looks like in indoor day. Maybe some time in the shop if I can make it up there

Got a haircut this morning and can actually see my ears again
