The 8 ft high fence around the vegetable yard was damaged by a tree branch and stretched the top wires.
Will have to cut and splice to fix

I get sunflowers popping up in strange places due to the bird feeders.
the tall ones can have stalks like small trees

sunflowers and okra, had them growing near each other in NC, both had super durable trunks
fun to feed the birds naturally with sunflowers

speaking of eating naturally, Frits do you eat the tubers or just enjoy the flowers, or both?
We eat them but we have way more than we can ever eat. It is low carb so good if you are concerned about blood sugar

They sure are good friends. A dog seems to lower the collective blood pressure in any household. Like kids, they present occasional challenges, but they are far outweighed by the rewards.
I have decided that the term dog training is a misnomer. It’s really human training.
Zoe sends her regards!

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 5:30AM. A mix of clouds and sun during the morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 87F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
David, my problem with the foam cannon is the 1/4 fitting, my powerwasher doesn't have it, though of course my air compressor does.
I haven't figured this out yet...

Here's a video on setting up and using a foam cannon, Drew:
If your pressure washer wand doesn't have interchangeable tips, here's a review of a pistol type pressure washer head:
He's also got a video out on quick connects for the pressure washer that make swapping tools and hoses much easier:

Got a note from the salesman that has the van up in Oregon, asking if I'm still shopping for a van. He works for the general manager that contacted me earlier in the week. I told him the same thing I told the GM: Lower your price and you'll sell a van. And got the same response: Crickets.

Showed my body shop neighbor large photos of the damaged roof on the Nevada van. He said the right way to fix it is to cut off the roof panel and replace it. Says he does that with cars all the time, but it's expensive to do. It means removing the windshield and headliner, if there is one, cutting out the spot welds, then welding the new skin on and sealing the seams before painting. If instead they hammer out the dents and fix the contour with Bondo, it ends up cracking a few years later. So I'll be asking to see receipts that detail how the Nevada dealer repaired the roof, and will likely end up passing on that van, too.

Got new tires for the Kubota side-by-side to mount today, not sure what else is on the agenda.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend.

Morning all, 72 going up to 87, sunny
Got the step cemented up and did a run to home depot to get some off white cement to point the stones this morning.
Went with the wife down to town for drinks and a walk around while the kid was at his friends.

Wow Buppies - nice doggy

safe trip L4N

i95 truck fire bridge collapse-that's all new bridge spans. Guess they cut corners if a fire takes them out so easy.

Off to do cement work, got in really late last night so slept until 9am.

Lovely June Gloom persisting here. 58º in the AM and highs in the 70s when the gray burns off mid-day.
The unpleasant 100 plus temps will be here soon enough. Have a great day everybody.

Reinforced concrete will collapse easily if subjected to a hot fire for some duration as well as steel beams. Once the rebar goes into the yield zone due to the heat it will collapse. Most steel will be into yield at 1000 F. Used Corten steel once for gas turbine exhaust ducts (900F) that saved a lot of money over carbon steel and stainless liners and won the bidding
