Not going to be a very productive day. Did get a couple pieces of wood cut and painted. Had hopes of getting the roof flashing under the PV panels, but just a little too wet and blustery to be handling a 25ft piece of sheet metal while on a scaffold. Another day.

Looks like energy conservation remainder of today.

With our MH we went to the Galveston State Park every weekend. Had it packed ready to go when I got off work and off we went with van and trailer in tow 70 feet long wagon train to first row off the beach. Bigger kids set up tents one for the girls and one for the boys and also set up the grill off loaded from the trailer. The 4 smaller kids stayed in the MH. It was a very safe park and they collected drift wood from the beach and had a campfire going with everything set up in the first 30 mins. New campers around us were watching in amazement.
One day a storm came up and blew the girls tent out in the surf with the girls inside. Very scary but ran it up and got the zipper opened and got them out. Never found the tent again.
On one trip I was giving wife time off and was alone with 9 kids when one broke her arm. Was a hairy trip to the hospital and dividing up kids to go with me and stay in the mototorhome with walkie talkies.
But all ended well
And many more stories.......

This morning I’ll head out and see what’s up with them after I finish my bowl of Special K.
After that, it’s back to Hilton Head to pick up the people I dropped off on Thursday..

And I drove 2 days to get here. Lol. Was in couple big backups today.

Am in north North Charleston. Never been here before, will stumble around downtown tomorrow.

Plan is to continue yesterdays’s efforts, but without the ladder drama. Funny how not that many years ago I would have barely given such an incident much thought.

I have been kind of ladder shy recently. I need to replace a projector at church sitting 16 ft high. Not sure if I’ll be doing it. I installed it originally.

Reasoned that my problem isn’t going ip the ladder but in coming down. Just a bit shaky on the knees..
Sophie tells me I’ve a nice bruise on my back. I can barely see it in mirror.

I need to do some repairs on the exterior of the house, and also do some work on our ceiling fan (15’ up on the side of our great room ceiling (24’ peak)) which is why I am getting scaffolding. You can Keep your ladders for anything over 10ft!
