Brute force is not the answer for sure looking at that picture

If it does not come off by tapping with hammer and gentle upward force I would clamp on the tube below the cap a piece of metal with a hose clamp and pry off of that

From my recollection, it just has flat spring steel that puts friction on the tube so it doesn’t blow off. It should pull straight up and off. But I haven’t had that tractor in a while.

That is what I recall, which makes me scratch my head about how it can be stuck.

This is a picture of my old tractor, look at the tube that the cap is on. Any brute force effort will not end well for the rocker cover.
I will work on getting a picture of the cap.

So THATS what’s under all that tin I guess it would be a lot easier if I took off my hood, it may come to that if I cannot get it off any other way…

Is the tube pressed into a rubber grommet in the cover?
