Well, we got about 8" of snow I think. Still snowing, lightly. Up to my Lab's chest when he went out. I need to get out there and start working on it. The local news is showing the (in town) roads as slushy and mostly clear. Not that way out here in the country...

Good morning to all! Low was 23°, high near 38°. Sunny, just breezy. Winds were ripping last night, well actually all day. The warnings expired at 18:00, but apparently the winds didn't get the message. Another couple of storm fronts come across tomorrow and Monday, so good chances of precip.

Today's agenda consists of going to the ortho surgeon, then waiting, waiting,... then comes the manipulation and pain. The only part that gets me anxious....knowing what will come....
I have no reason to believe that he will miraculously tell me what is wrong with the knee. I had to wait until after this appointment before looking for another opinion.....

The knee has been really complaining over the past few days, coinciding with the cold wet weather. I'll mention this to him...... not that I think it makes a difference.....

Maybe have some time to get out to the shop afterwards, but depends on how much the Doc irritates the knee during his exam.....

Too much to get caught up on here.....

Good news: our "Christmas gift to each other" finally came yesterday....
a Cuck-coo clock made in the black forest of Germany. Neat little clock, has the real cloth bellows for the sound.

Time to go get ready for the appt.
Everyone have a great day!

65°F and .25 inches rain.

Encouraging ophthalmologist visit but still some swelling. A new prescription and back in Mar.

Only able to get half my aluminum angle for solar racking, but more stock due in Fri.

Was able to get remaining bracing installed before the rain. Today I can start closing in the walls with Hardie panel.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

BEF - water in bottom trays usually means blocked drain tube for auto defrost.

Just found a YouTube video showing the problem for my model. Guess I know what I’m doing today. Unfortunately have to empty the fridge for a good bit of time. Maybe I’ll do it on a colder day when we can set the fridge stuff outside.

Edit someone in comments mentioned there is a power defrost mode. It’s not in the fridge manual, but mine has it. Hold PowerFreeze & Fridge buttons together for 8 sec. display will go blank. Now press Fridge until rd (refrig defrost) shows. Fridge will beep while in defrost for 20 minutes. I’m trying it now.

Yes. IR ones that only appear as a dim red glow to the human eye.
I wonder if they illuminate the room for the canine eye.
Dogs don't see IR, but they can sense heat with a little organ on their nose.

A lot of IR cameras have IR LED emitters around the lens that either light continuously or only when they detect IR. Older and less expensive emitters have a reddish glow that can be seen by people and dogs.
